Toyota introduced the Innova MPV in India in February 2005. It comes as a replacement for the hugely popular Qualis UV. The company introduced the second generation model in the Indian market in 2016.

The Crysta sits on a 2750mm long wheelbase, which ensures a spacious cabin. It measures 4735mm in length, 1830mm in width and 1795mm in height. The 3-row MPV has a ground clearance of 176mm.

It comes with a boot space of 300-litres that's enough to carry weekend bags. The boot space is expandable by folding the third-row seats.

The Innova Crysta is available with 3 airbags (dual front & driver knee airbag) as standard. The ZX and ZX variants of the MPV are available with 7 airbags (driver, front passenger, driver knee, front side, and curtain shield airbags). 

Other safety features include seat belt reminders, ABS with EBD, and brake assist (BA), vehicle stability control, and hill start assist. It also gets a back monitor and front clearance Sonar with MID Indication.
