Why Are Toyota Cars So Reliable? Top 9 Reasons

If there is one thing that Toyota is synonymous with, it is reliability. Since its 1997 entry into the domestic market, the Japanese carmaker has earned a reputation for launching vehicles that just never break down. To this day, the Toyota Corolla holds the title of the most-sold car in the world. But what is the secret sauce behind Toyota’s consistent reliability? Well, here are nine reasons why nothing beats the dependence factor of Toyota: Durability It is a no-brainer that Toyota Cars are built to last for years. Made from the best materials and thoroughly tested, these cars once bought require the least amount of maintenance and can take the beating of time as compared to other cars. In the long run, money spent on maintenance is not much as well.  Solid Feel Factor Step inside a Toyota and you will be awed by the rugged feel that the interior is made of. Not only the inside, cars like the Fortuner and Innova have a great road presence and look like they can handle a lot of external beating, ultimately resulting in increased trust in the brand. All cars get basic safety features like an anti-braking system, brake assist, traction control and vehicle stability control. Credit goes to the engineers at Toyota for putting their heart and soul into manufacturing such next-level cars. As a matter of fact, the brand has become bigger than the cars itself. Amazing Resale Value If you were to purchase a used Toyota car, rest assured that you are buying a product that may last for a lifetime if given the right care and maintenance. And if you bought a brand new one, consider the fact that upon reselling the same you would be able to recover a decent amount back as compared to cars of other brands. This translates into extra financial security that may not be as high in other automobile brands. High-Quality Materials Used Right from the engines to the body, every material used in Toyotas goes through rigorous testing to ensure optimal performance. As a result, the reliability factor is favoured and these four-wheelers not only perform well and are safe, but they provide a great driving experience.  Hybrid Mobility Leader As it is far ahead in terms of technology, Toyota excels in making hybrid systems. In India, Toyota provides its hybrid tech to brands like Maruti Suzuki. You will find it being used in the very popular Grand Vitara Hybrid. Using a hybrid car reduces the level of pollutants emitted, leading to a cleaner environment. Not only in India, Toyota continues to be the hybrid leader across the globe. Fuel Efficiency Generally fuel efficient, Toyota has a range of powertrain options in its lineup. In pure petrol mode, the mileage output of cars like the Hyryder goes up to 17 kilometres per litre. However, with the hybrid technology, you can expect a real-world mileage of 24 kilometres per litre, making you spend less at the fuel station. Besides being fuel efficient, they pack a decent amount of performance as well.   Innovation at the Forefront Toyota does well in collaborating with other brands, providing technology and rebadging products to stay with the times. Overseas, Toyota sells electric vehicles like the Prius which has been leading the pack for years, implying that Toyota was ahead of the curve even when EVs weren’t this popular. Concerning the integration of new technologies in cars, Toyota ranks in front of major car manufacturers.  Toyota’s Trust Customer satisfaction is well-taken care of at Toyota with regular feedback. Upcoming 7-Seater Cars From Maruti Suzuki and Toyota

After the successful introduction of the Hyryder-Grand Vitara, Innova Hycross-Invicto & Fronx-Taisor twins, Maruti Suzuki and Toyota JV are planning to introduce more models in the Indian market. Both brands will introduce multiple new 3-row models including SUVs and MPV in the country in the next 2 years.  Maruti Grand Vitara 7-Seater SUV Maruti Suzuki is preparing a new 3-row SUV, which is scheduled to be launched sometime in 2025. The new SUV will be based on the Global-C platform that underpins the Grand Vitara. The platform will be tweaked to accommodate a longer wheelbase SUV. The new model will be offered in 6 and 7-seat layout with the former having captain seats in the second-row. The SUV will be significantly longer than the existing Grand Vitara, which measures 4.3 meters in length. The SUV is expected to feature the existing 1.5-litre petrol and Toyota's 1.5-litre petrol engine with a strong hybrid tech.  Toyota Hyryder 7-Seater SUV Similar to the Grand Vitara 7-seater, Toyota will also launch the 7-seater version of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder SUV in 2025. The new 3-row SUV will share most of the interiors and features with the Grand Vitara & Hyryder. The SUV will be positioned between the Hyryder and the Innova Hycross, in terms of pricing. It will rival the likes of Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and others in the segment. The SUV could be equipped with high-end features including ADAS tech. It is likely to be powered by the 1.5L petrol and 1.5L petrol-hybrid powertrains.  New Toyota Fortuner Toyota is working on the next-gen Fortuner SUV, which is expected to be launched sometime in 2025. The new model will be based on the TNGA-F architecture, which also underpins the new Tacoma pickup truck, Land Cruiser 400 and the Lexus LX500d. The SUV will come with a more aggressive styling and a feature-loaded interior. The next-gen Fortuner will come with a mild-hybrid diesel engine, which consists of a 2.8-litre diesel engine, a 48V setup, and an electric motor generator. The powertrain produces 201bhp and 500Nm of torque. It will be available with both RWD & 4X4 drivetrain configurations.  Maruti 7-seater compact MPV The Indo-Japanese automaker is aiming to enter the mini MPV segment, which is expected to draw inspiration from the Suzuki Spacia model on sale in Japan. This compact 7-seater MPV will sit below 4 meters in length. It is expected to feature sliding doors on both sides of the rear seat. The new MPV is expected to be equipped with the brand's new Z-Series 1.2-litre 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that debuted in the new Swift. Dakar-Inspired Toyota Land Cruiser Victory Edition Launched in UAE

To commemorate 10 consecutive production car category wins in the Dakar Rally, Toyota has rolled out a ‘Victory Edition’ of its Land Cruiser in the UAE. Based on the SUV’s ‘Black Edition’, the latest release is exclusive to the LC J300. Toyota showcased the special edition at the Geneva International Motor Show in Qatar last year.  Land Cruiser Victory Edition: New Bits Courtesy of the Victory edition come dark accents throughout the exterior, blacked-out 18-inch Enkei alloys with Dunlop Grandtrek AT5 dual-terrain rubber and rally-influenced decals on the sides. Other signature bits from the Black Edition theme including a grille, skid plate and mud flaps are retained. The black and beige cabin, however, receives no changes.  Land Cruiser Victory Edition: Powertrain This special edition is made solely available with the 3.5-litre V6 Land Cruiser which belts out 409 horsepower and 650 Nm of pulling force, and is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission besides Toyota’s 4WD system.  Land Cruiser Victory Edition: Pricing The Victory Edition LC’s price undercuts the GR Sport model at AED 319,900, translating to INR equivalent of Rs. 72.5 lakh. 7-Seater Toyota Hyryder SUV Under Development

It is no secret that Maruti Suzuki is working on a wide range of new models including hybrids, EVs and facelifts of existing models. The company will introduce the eVX concept based electric SUV, Fronx hybrid, new-gen Dzire and the 7-Seater Grand Vitara before the end of 2025.  The 7-seater Maruti SUV will be based on the Suzuki's Global-C platform, which also underpins the existing Grand Vitara and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The platform will be tweaked to accommodate a longer wheelbase SUV. Toyota will also launch the 7-seater version of the Hyryder SUV, which will share its underpinnings with the 7-seater Grand Vitara.  The new 7-seater Toyota Hyryder SUV will be positioned against the likes of the Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus and others in the category. It was speculated that Toyota will launch the 7-seater version of the Corolla Cross; however, the plan has been shelved due to high investment. This SUV won't come as an affordable 7-seater SUV and would be positioned against the Jeep Renegade and Skoda Kodiaq. This won't make any sense in the highly competitive and cost-sensitive Indian auto market.  Toyota is now focusing on launching the 3-row Hyryder SUV, which will fill the gap between the Hyryder and the Innova Hycross. It is expected to be offered in both 6 and 7-seat layout with the former offering captain seats in the second-row. The SUV could also receive high-end features including ADAS tech. The upcoming Toyota Hyryder 7-seater SUV will continue to be offered with the existing 1.5-litre TNGA Atkinson Cycle petrol engine. This engine produces 101.6bhp and 117Nm of torque. It is claimed to offer a fuel efficiency of 27.97kmpl.
