Toyota Innova Hycross facelift to get Hilux-inspired front design Likely to get a larger touchscreen infotainment unit
The popular Toyota Innova Hycross is all set to receive its mid-cycle upgrade. The Innova Hycross facelift has been spotted undergoing road testing, revealing tech upgrades. Adding to it, the spy images reveal that the MPV gets several visual refresh designed to give the MPV a more authoritative SUV-like presence.
Here are the 5 big takeaways on the upcoming 2026 Toyota Innova Hycross facelift:
Hilux-inspired front design
The most striking transformation on the updated Hycross happens right up front:
Upright SUV Stance: the spy images reveal that the updated model will have Hilux-inspired front design. Toyota has swapped the swept-back trapezoidal front grille for a taller, flatter, honeycomb-mesh grille inspired by the new-gen Hilux.
Sleeker lighting: It gets an updated front bumper that house a revised air curtains and higher-mounted LED fog lamps, paired with slimmer projector headlamp units and updated DRL graphics.
No or Limited changes to side and rear profile
While the front gets an aggressive makeover, the rest of the MPV’s body Sheel remains largely untouched. The side profile retains its long wheelbase, greenhouse glass area, wheel arch cladding, and roof rails. At the back, the changes are likely to be limited to updated internal LED lighting signatures within the taillights and minor trim accents across the tailgate.
New touchscreen infotainment system
The updated Innova Hycross is likely to get a new infotainment unit, which could be 12.3-inch in size. However, nothing has been officially revealed on the same. The new console will have updated graphics, smoother UI performance, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
Upgraded 360-degree camera
To make maneuvering the large MPV easier in tight city spaces, Toyota is likely to upgrade the vehicle’s surround-view monitoring system. The 360-degree camera setup will have higher-resolution optical sensors. It is expected to offer dynamic parking guidelines and clearer feed integrated directly into the new, larger central display.
No Mechanical Changes
The new Innova Hycross will retain the engine options, including a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and a 2.0-litre strong hybrid. The NA petrol engine churns out a maximum power and torque output of 173 hp and 209 Nm, respectively, and is paired to a CVT automatic gearbox. The strong hybrid engine offers a combined power output of 184 hp. Paired to an e-CVT, the hybrid engine offers an impressive fuel economy of over 23 kmpl.
