Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift: SUV-Style Fascia and Tech Upgrades

Toyota has started testing the Innova Hycross facelift on the Indian roads. First launched in December 2022, the Hycross is set to receive its first major mid-life refresh. The heavily camouflaged prototype reveals key exterior styling updates and hints at tech upgrades inside.

Hilux-Inspired Front Fascia

The spotted model shows a bolder front profile, taking design cues from the new Toyota Hilux pickup truck. It is likely to get a prominent honeycomb mesh front grille flanked by sleeker headlamp assemblies, new projector headlight units connected by a central trim piece and re-positioned pixel-shaped LED fog lamps placed higher on the front bumper.

Updated LED rear profile

Innova Hycross Rear spied

While the side profile and alloy wheel design appear identical to the outgoing model, the rear receives noticeable visual tweaks. It gets revised internal LED signatures in the wraparound taillights, connected via a dark trim strip. The MPV gets roof-mounted spoiler, rear wiper, washer, and shark fin antenna.

Upgraded Cabin Tech & Enhanced ADAS

The facelifted Hycross is expected to receive modern cabin updates, including a larger free-standing central touchscreen infotainment unit. The infotainment unit is likely to get an updated software, better interface, and enhanced connected car features. It gets an upgraded LEVEL 2 ADAS suite with refined calibration for autonomous braking, lane-keeping, adaptive cruise control and others. The MPV is likely to get new upholstery, revised dashboard trims and soft-touch materials throughout the cabin.

Same Engine Options

The Innova Hycross facelift will continue to be offered with the same 2.0L petrol and 2.0L Strong hybrid engine. The petrol engine produces 173 hp, and is mated to a CVT automatic gearbox. The strong hybrid engine is capable of producing 184 hp, and is mated to an e-CVT setup for improved fuel efficiency.

Expected Launch Timeline & Price

The new Innova Hycross facelift is expected to be launched in the end of 2026 or early 2027. It is estimated to be priced somewhere around Rs 20.50 lakh to Rs 34 lakh, ex-showroom.
