Updated Innova Hycross will receive design updates, and retain features. Next-gen Fortuner to get new styling, ADAS and Neo Drive.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor is gearing up to the Innova Hycross facelift and the next-generation Fortuner SUV in 2027. Both models are currently undergoing testing, and have been spotted multiple times revealing several design and interior details. Here’s everything we know so far about these upcoming Toyota UVs.
Recent spy images suggest that the new 2026 Toyota Innova Hycross facelift will feature a more squarish grille, revised bumper and new sleeker projector headlamps at the front end. While the side and rear profiles remain heavily camouflaged, the MPV is expected to get more pronounced wheel arches and cladding and updated LED taillamp elements.
Inside the cabin, the MPV is likely to receive new trims and upholstery along with a bunch of new features. Most of the existing features will be carried over including a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car technology, 9-speaker JBL audio system, six airbags, traction control, hill start assist, TMPS and more.
Mechanically, the new 2026 Toyota Innova Hycross facelift is expected to remain unchanged. The MPV’s petrol version will continue to use the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated producing 173bhp and 209Nm of torque. It will come with a CVT automatic gearbox and a FWD (front-wheel drive system). The strong hybrid variant will continue to feature the 2.0-litre petrol-hybrid system, generating combined output of 183bhp. Transmission duties will be handled by an e-CVT.
The next-generation Toyota Fortuner will adopt a more upright stance along with a flatter bonnet and a wider front fascia. Its overall design and styling will be heavily inspired by the new-gen Hilux pickup truck. The SUV will feature a larger front grille, split headlamps positioned slightly lower, slim LED DRLs, a tweaked bumper and repositioned fog lamp assembly.
Interior details are not available at the moment. However, the 2027 Toyota Fortuner is likely to come with a fully digital driver’s display and a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The feature list is also likely to include an ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite along with ventilated and powered front seats, OTA updates, a sunroof, wireless charging and more.
The all-new Toyota Fortuner is expected to retain the existing 2.7-litre petrol and 2.8-litre diesel engine options. The diesel engine will also continue to be offered with Toyota’s 48V mild-hybrid system, called Neo Drive. Both engines will be available with 6-speed manual and torque convertor automatic gearbox options. Select variants will also continue to be available with a FWD (four-wheel drive) system.
