Toyota Legender

The Toyota Legender is a full-size SUV that has been developed as a premium alternative to the Fortuner in the Indian and Thai automobile market. While the model existed in different names globally, it was finally introduced in India at the start of 2021. 

The Legender shares the same Hilux based pick-up truck chassis (Toyota IMV) while offering a more luxurious feeling with all-blacked out elements.

Toyota Legender: Exterior

The 2023 Toyota Legender’s exterior design is identical to that of the Fortuner that it is based on. Upfront it maintains the muscular looks with the strong bonnet lights and the aggressive bumper.

The headlamp units are all-new for the model and features a split quad-LED design along with a sequential turn indicator placed on the bumper. In addition, the Legender also replaces all the chrome bits with piano black accents to create a more premium / sporty appeal. Other bits include new design 18-inch alloy wheels that help provide a sleek and attractive look to the SUV.

Toyota Legender: Interiors and Features

Interior: Moving to the inside, the 2023 Toyota Legender gets a vertical dashboard layout like the Fortuner but with a new black and maroon theme. 

Features: In addition, the Legender SUV provides features like a wireless charger, ambient lighting and a kick sensor for the electronic tailgate. Besides these, the car carries forward the large touchscreen infotainment unit, digital MID, ventilated front seats and more from its sibling.

Safety: In terms of safety, the New Legender shares the same equipment as the Fortuner that includes up to 7-airbags, ABS with EBD, engine immobiliser, hill assist control, traction control system and more.

Toyota Legender: Price and Variants

2023 Toyota Legender price in India starts from Rs 43.22 lakh and extends up to Rs 46.94 lakh (ex-showroom). It is offered in a total of 2 variants that include 4X2 and 4X4 with only diesel automatic option.

Toyota Legender: Engine and Specification

Unlike the Fortuner, the New Legender is offered with only one diesel engine option. The 2.8-litre powertrain produces a maximum power output of 200 bhp and peak torque of 500 Nm. The power plant is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

The New Legender measures 4,795mm in length, 1,855mm in width and 1,835mm in height having a wheelbase of 2,745mm. The car gets an 80-litre fuel tank and up to 18-inch alloy wheels.

Toyota Legender: Colour Options

Unlike the Toyota Fortuner, the 2023 Toyota Legender is available with only one exterior colour option that includes the dual-tone White Pearl Crystal Shine with Black Roof.
