April 25, 2025 - Volkswagen had launched the Tiguan R-Line in India on April 14, 2025. The SUV comes as a fully imported model and is priced at Rs 49 lakh (introductory ex-showroom, pan-India). The new SUV has already reached dealerships for customers preview and test drives.

The Tiguan is available in a single top-of-the-line variant, the Tiguan R-Line and is priced at Rs ₹34.20 Lakhs*, ex-showroom Pan-India. 

Key Features of VW Tiguan R-Line

The sporty SUV comes equipped with a wide range of comfort and convenience features. It comes equipped with a 15-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a Head-Up Display or HUD, and a digital driver's display. The SUV is fitted with a sporty and comfortable seats with massage function and adjustable lumbar support, and 30-colour ambient lighting. Other features include wireless charging for 2 smartphones, park assist plus and a panoramic sunroof. 

Safety Features

For safety and security, the new Tiguan R-Line gets 9 airbags, front and rear disc brakes, hill start assist and hill descent control, ABS with EBD, ESP and many more. The SUV comes with 21 LEVEL 2 ADAS features including autonomous emergency braking, front assist with pedestrian and cyclist monitoring, lane change assist, side assist, rear traffic alert, and exit warning system, adaptive cruise control and others. 

Engine & Transmission

Powering the VW Tiguan R-Line is a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, TSI petrol engine paired to a 7-speed DSG 4MOTION. This engine is capable of producing 201bhp between 4500-6000rpm and a peak torque of 320Nm. 

Mileage

The VW Tiguan R-Line is claimed to offer an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 12.58kmpl. 

Boot Space and Dimensions

In terms of proportions, the new VW Tiguan R-Line is 4539mm long, 1859mm wide and 1656mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2680mm. The SUV has a ground clearance of 176mm, while the fuel tank has 60-litres capacity. 

The Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line has a boot space of 652-litres, which can be further extended up to 1650-litres by folding the second-row seats.

The Tiguan R Line is available in 6 exterior colour choices including Persimmon Red Metallic, Onyx White Mother of Pearl Effect, Oyster Silver Metallic, Cipressino Green Metallic, Nightshade Blue Metallic and Grenadilla Black Metallic.
