2026 Maruti Brezza Secures 5-Star Bharat NCAP Crash Test Rating

New Brezza scored 30.41 points out of 32 points in the Adult Occupant Protection Test. Brezza facelift scored 43 points out of 49 points in the Child Occupant Protection Test.

The 2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza has been crash tested by BHARAT NCAP ahead of its official launch tomorrow. The big update is that the Brezza facelift is the latest model to receive a 5-star crash safety rating for both adult occupant protection (AOP) and child occupant protection (COP) tests. 


The crash tested vehicle was the top-spec ZXI+ variant, which is powered by a 1.5-litre, NA petrol engine paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. BHARAT NCAP stated that the test results apply to all variants of the Brezza facelift. The crash tested model is packed with six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), pedestrian protection and seat belt reminder.

The new Maruti Brezza facelift scored 30.41 points out of the maximum 32 points. In the front offset deformable barrier test, the SUV scored 14.41 out of 16 points. The Brezza secured 16 out of maximum 16 points in the side movable deformable barrier test. 


The SUV offers adequate protection to driver’s chest and legs, and good protection to  driver and co-occupant head and neck. Adding to it, the SUV offers good protection to driver and passengers in side pole impact test.


2026 Maruti Brezza Bharat NCAP


New Brezza Child Occupant Protection Test


The new Maruti Brezza facelift scored 43 points out of the maximum 49 points. For the COP tests, child seats of both the 18 month and 3 year old dummies were set to a rearward direction. The test results suggest that both dummies scored a full 8 out of 8 points in the frontal and 4 out of the maximum 4 points in the side crash test. 


The SUV scored full points for the dynamic score, that’s 24 out of 24. The CRS installation score for the new Brezza COP stands at 12 out of 12. It lost 6 points in the vehicle assessment score.
