2026 Maruti Brezza Vs Old Compared – Design, Features, Engine & Mileage

New Brezza gets turbo petrol engine, new features and revised styling. The SUV now offers better mileage and safety.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza, one of India’s top-selling SUVs, recently received a midlife update. The updated lineup comes with subtle design changes and feature enhancements and, most importantly, the addition of a new turbo-petrol engine. The new turbo-petrol variants have been priced from Rs 7.40 lakh onwards, while prices of the remaining variants are yet to be announced.

So, how much as the new 2026 Maruti Brezza changed compared to the previous model? Here’s a detailed comparison.

New 2026 Maruti Brezza Vs Old: Design

The facelifted version retains the original silhouette and overall design language. However, the front fascia looks refreshing with a slightly updated grille featuring a smoked chrome element, repositioned fog lamps within new triangular housings and revised bumper with a silver garnish. The headlamps and DRLs remain unchanged.

The side profile appears largely similar to the previous model. Though, the new Maruti Brezza facelift has been equipped with the newly-designed 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and gets a slightly revised body cladding. At the back, the SUV features a tweaked bumper and LED taillamps with a new lighting signature.

In terms of dimensions, the new Brezza remains unchanged. It measures 3,995mm in length, 1,790mm in width and 1,685mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,500mm. The new model lineup comes in two new exterior colours – Vivacious Orange and Lustrous Beige. Dual-tone options are now available with Sizzling Red, Lustrous Beige and Pearl Arctic White.

The overall cabin layout remains unchanged, but the new Maruti Brezza gets gloss black trim along with new seat upholstery and trims. The older 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system has been replaced with a new 10.1-inch unit supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The facelifted Brezza offers a PM2.5 air filter with AQI display, 64-colour ambient lighting, ventilated front seats and a 360-degree camera.

On the safety front, the subcompact SUV now offers blind spot warning, a tyre pressure monitoring system, front parking sensors, rear cross traffic alert and safe exit warning. The remaining comfort and safety features have been caried over from the outgoing model.

New 2026 Maruti Brezza Vs Old: Engine

Unlike the pre-facelift version, the new Maruti Brezza is now available with the Fronx-sourced 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo engine. This engine, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, delivers a maximum power of 110PS and 170Nm of torque.

The previously available 103hbp, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and CNG powertrain options have also been retained. The CNG variants now features an underbody CNG tank, similar to the setup seen in the Victoris. A 6-speed manual gearbox comes as standard, while the 1.5-litre petrol-powered variants are exclusively offered with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

New 2026 Maruti Brezza Vs Old: Mileage

Compared to the pre-facelift version, the new Maruti Brezza offers improved fuel efficiency across its powertrain lineup. The updated 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol variants now offer a claimed mileage of 21.09kmpl, up from 17.80kmpl in the previous model. Similarly, the CNG version is now more frugal, offering a fuel efficiency of 26.90km/kg. The newly-introduced 1.0-litre turbo-petrol version promises a fuel economy of 20.47kmpl.
