Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL) has launched the 2022 Venue Facelift in the Indian market. Based on the “Sensuous Sportiness” philosophy, the sub-compact SUV has adopted the brand’s latest design direction already visible on cars like the Creta and the Tucson.
The introductory price of the Venue Facelift starts at Rs 7.53 lakh (ex-showroom) for the E variant of the 1.2-litre MPi petrol and goes up to Rs 12.57 lakh (ex-showroom) for the SX(O) DCT trim of the 1.0-litre tGDI
Despite the car getting a major revision in terms of design, Hyundai has continued with the same powertrain options that include one diesel and two petrol engines. The 1.2-litre MPi petrol and the 1.5 litre CRDi diesel engines are offered only with a manual gearbox while the 1.0-litre tGDi petrol gets an option for either an iMT or a DCT unit.
The front fascia of the updated Venue gets a major change with the addition of the new Parametric Jewel Grille finished in dark chrome. Towards the rear, the signature “H-Lamp” stretches across the boot of the vehicle, giving the SUV a wider stance.
Moving to the inside we see a more upmarket cabin that includes ambient lighting, D-cut steering wheel, colour digital instrument cluster, electronically adjustable driver seat and more.
The Hyundai Venue Facelift is available in 7 colour options namely Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Titan Grey, Fiery Red, Denim Blue and the all-new Phantom Black along with a dual-tone colour paint scheme in Fiery Red.
The Hyundai Venue Facelift is aimed squarely at the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Brezza which is set to launch on the 30th of June 2022. Other cars in the segment include the Tata Nexon, XUV 300, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Toyota Urban Cruiser and Honda WR-V.
The new Hyundai i20 Magna Executive variant comes with 6 airbags, ESC and VSM as standard - priced at Rs 7.51 lakh (ex-showroom).
