New car buyers are likely to witness some groundbreaking launches this year. From affordable EVs to high-end SUVs, customers will get to see big launches towards the end of this year. Mercedes AMG C43 The performance-oriented version of the Mercedes C-Class, the new Mercedes Benz C43 AMG is soon to be launched on November 2. The car will feature the Panamericana front grille, adaptive LED headlights with unique LED DRLs, black ORVMs, enlarged air intakes, faux quad exhausts, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Mechanically, it will come equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol unit mated with a 48V mild-hybrid system. It will provide the combined power of 402 bhp (415 bhp with boost function) and 500 Nm of peak torque. For the transmission options, it will offer a 9-speed torque converter automatic system. As far as the prices are concerned, the previous-gen C43 was on sale at Rs 82.47 lakh (ex-showroom). For the new-gen model, expect to receive a price hike. Mercedes GLE Facelift Apart from the C43 AMG, Mercedes cars is likely to announce the launch of the facelifted version of the GLE model. The refreshed models will get new LED headlights, all-new alloy wheels, tweaked bumpers, and updated LED tail lights. It will be offered in three variants, 300d, 450, and new 450 d. While the 300d's turbo diesel can produce 269 bhp with 500 Nm, the 450's six-cylinder petrol unit can deliver 381 bhp with 500 Nm of torque. The all-new 450d with six-cylinder turbo diesel option can generate 367 bhp with 750 Nm of torque. These three powertrain options are mated with a 48V mild-hybrid system that can offer an additional 20 bhp and 200 Nm of peak torque. The transmission option will include the 9-speed automatic gearbox. Prices for the 2023 Mercedes Benz GLE facelift is set to be unveiled on 2 November 2023. The Chinese automaker confirmed to launch the EV towards the end of this year. Once launched it will be called the new flagship product from BYD in India. The design of the upcoming Seal EV is inspired by the Ocean X concept car. It is likely to get an all-glass roof, a split headlamp design, a full-width LED light bar at the rear, flush-fitting door handles, and four boomerang-shaped LED DRLs. Prices for the EV are expected to hover between Rs 55 lakh to Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom). Nissan X-trail The Japanese automaker, Nissan cars also has a plan to launch its flagship SUV, the X-Trail in India by the year-end. The car will be offered in both 5-seat and 7-seat configurations. As for the powertrain, the new model will come powered by two engine options; a 1.5-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol with the brand's e-Power hybrid tech. The hybrid option gets the all-wheel-drive system whereas the standard petrol version comes with only FWD. The hybrid system features a 150 kW electric motor which can generate a combined output of 198 bhp while the e-Power dual motor system can deliver 206 bhp. The expected price for the X-Trail is Rs 40 lakh to Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata Punch EV Tata Motors has already brought new electric versions of Tiago, Nexon, and Tigor. This festive season, the automaker is expected to bring another electric model to the market. The new Tata Punch.ev will go on sale before the end of the year and will become the most affordable electric SUV in the country. The new Tata Punch.ev will be powered by the brand's Ziptron powertrain. It will get a liquid-cooled battery that will send power to the front-axle-mounted electric motor. Additionally, the EV will get two battery pack sizes and charging options. Interestingly, this will be the first Tata EV to receive a front bumper-mounted charging socket. As far as the price is concerned, it will fall in the range of Rs 9.50 lakh to Rs 12.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Audi Q8 Facelift Audi cars had globally introduced the facelifted version of the Q8 SUV with some cosmetic updates and new features. The automaker is likely to launch the India-spec model very soon. It will feature a trapezoidal front grille, HD Matrix LED units with laser, larger air damps, a 2D Audi logo, a new alloy wheel design, and a reworked rear bumper. Additionally, the SUV will continue to come powered by the familiar 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine in the country producing 335 bhp and mated to an 8-speed DSG gearbox. 2023 was a big year for the global automotive industry. With the market coming out of a tough couple of years of post-pandemic decline, automakers have rebounded quite strongly this year. Automakers have already introduced mid-life facelifts or brand-new models across their lineups. Furthermore, there are still some big unveils yet to come. Today, we take a look at some of the upcoming cars and SUVs launching in November 2023. Next-Gen Skoda Superb Skoda recently unveiled the official sketches of the next-gen Superb, ahead of its global debut on November 2. The new Skoda Superb follows the brand’s Modern Solid design language that looks sleeker and more stylish than the previous model. Skoda has also completely overhauled the interior with all digital displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, as well as new multi-function rotary knobs with an integrated display. In terms of powertrains, the new Superb will be offered with petrol, diesel, and a plug-in hybrid option. All of them will be mated to a DSG automatic gearbox. Expect the new Skoda Superb to be launched around late 2024 in India, with prices upwards of Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom). Next in line to be unveiled is the new Tata Punch EV. It will look quite similar to its ICE sibling except for a new grille, blue accents all around, and tweaked bumpers. Moving inside, reports suggest that it will get a larger 10.25-inch infotainment display. The 2024 Punch EV will use Tata’s Ziptron powertrain, though details are yet to be fully revealed. The electric micro-SUV may be offered with two battery pack sizes and charging options, similar to the Nexon EV range. The Tata Punch EV will likely be unveiled by the end of November. In terms of pricing, expect it to start from around Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom). All-New Renault Duster The Renault Duster was one of the best-selling Renaults in India, and arguably one of the pioneers of the compact SUV craze in our country. While the brand did not bring the second-gen model here, it is planning to introduce the next-gen model soon. The new Duster is slated for a global unveil on November 29. In terms of design, the new Duster gets a boxy and more rugged exterior that looks more muscular than before. It also gets Dacia’s (Renault’s sister brand) new design language with Y-shaped LED lighting elements and accents. Globally, the duster will be offered with three powertrain options, 2 turbo-petrol and 1 strong-hybrid. Both manual and automatic transmission options will be available. The new Duster is expected to go on sale in international markets by mid-2024, with an India launch likely by the end of next year. The SUV gets minor exterior changes like tweaked LED headlights and taillights, reprofiled bumpers, different alloy wheels and a new grille. Inside, the new Mercedes Benz GLE gets a new multi-function steering wheel, an updated MBUX infotainment system, and new upholstery functions. In India, Mercedes will offer 2 turbodiesel and 1 turbo-petrol engine options on the new GLE. A 9-speed automatic transmission will be the sole option available. Expect prices for the Mercedes GLE facelift to start around Rs 95 lakh (ex-showroom) Mercedes-AMG C43 Mercedes is also set to launch the all-new C43 AMG sedan in India on November 2. Compared to the regular model, it gets AMG’s Panamericana grille, adaptive LED headlights with integrated DRLs, larger air intakes, 18-inch alloy wheels, quad exhausts, and an integrated diffuser on the rear bumper. Moving inside, the Mercedes Benz AMG C43 shares its interior layout with the standard model but gets new AMG-specific graphics for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system, AMG steering wheel, and sports seats with red seat belts. The new AMG C43 ditches the turbo V6 of the previous-gen model for a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol motor with mild-hybrid assist. It makes 402 bhp with 500 Nm of peak torque and is paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission. While prices are yet to be announced, the Mercedes-AMG C43 will likely be priced at around Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom). In addtion to these models Chinese manufacturer, BYD had committed to launch the new Seal sedan in India during the last quarter of 2023. The new BYD Seal was unvieled for India at the 2023 Auto Expo featuring CTB (Cell-To-Body) technology with two battey pack options offering up to 530 bhp and 700 kilometres of range. More recently, the European crash testing agency, Euro NCAP awarded the 2024 Seal electric sedan with a 5-star rating.

Mercedes-Benz India recently launched the updated iteration of the second-generation GLE Coupe, the AMG 53. Starting at Rs 1.85 crore (ex-showroom), this stylish SUV features cosmetic improvements while retaining its turbo-petrol engine. Mercedes AMG GLE 53 4MATIC Facelift: Exterior Design and Interior Layout From the design perspective, the GLE 53 Coupe facelift mostly remains unchanged. However, the vehicle looks a bit fresh with subtle changes in the front bumper, headlights, and tail lights.  Moving on to the cabin, it highlights a new steering wheel made of leather and Alcantara. Besides, the interior looks similar to the recently updated GLE, offering customizable features like additional control buttons on the steering wheel, a heads-up display alongside heated and ventilated front seats. If required, you can also add optional equipment like AMG Track Pace software, a high-performance braking system from AMG, and the Acoustic Comfort Package. Mercedes AMG GLE 53 4MATIC Facelift: Safety AMG GLE 53 4MATIC Facelift is equipped with top-notch safety features. The premium vehicle provides 9 airbags, a 360-degree camera, Blind Spot Assist, and a 'Transparent Bonnet' as standard. Mercedes AMG GLE 53 4MATIC Facelift: Powertrain Details Under the hood, the facelifted variant shares the same powertrain option as its predecessor. It is equipped with a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. Performance-wise, it delivers an impressive power output of 432 bhp and 560 Nm of peak torque. Transmission option includes a 9-speed automatic. It also offers Mercedes-Benz’s iconic 4Matic AWD system. The notable change is the addition of a new 48V mild-hybrid system. This addition provides an extra 20 bhp and 200 Nm when necessary, making the car more powerful. As a result, the 0 to 100 kmph sprint time is now quicker by 0.3 seconds, boasting an impressive 5 seconds. The top speed remains capped at 250 kph. Mercedes AMG GLE 53 4MATIC Facelift: Price and Rivals in India Mercedes Benz has priced its facelifted GLE 53 Coupe at Rs 1.85 crore (ex-showroom). Mercedes-Benz GLA Facelift was unveiled globally in mid-2023, and now it has finally arrived in India today. Priced at Rs 50.50 lakh (ex-showroom), the 2024 model highlights minor design tweaks and added features for better convenience. It carries the same set of petrol and diesel engine choices. 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA Facelift: Exterior Changes As mentioned above, the New GLA Facelift has minor changes from the outside, maintaining its previous look. The noticeable updates are up front, where it has received a new set of LED headlights, a refreshed grille with vertical lines, and a redesigned bumper. For the performance version, the AMG Line variant of the GLA Facelift provides a distinctive front grille with pin chrome inserts. On the side, it boasts new 19-inch alloy wheels, and the cladding around the wheel arches now matches the body colour. The tailgate is almost the same, but the LED taillamps have been updated. Mercedes has also added a new Spectral Blue colour option to this model. 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA Facelift: Interior Layout The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA SUV gives you the option of dual-tone black and beige alongside an all-black interior. The dashboard layout remains the same, but now it has a redesigned centre console that provides extra storage. In the regular GLA Facelift, there is an illuminated star pattern trim on the passenger side dashboard, while the AMG Line version features a unique carbon structure trim, highlighted by ambient lighting. The AMG version of this model also comes with the latest AMG steering wheel, equipped with touch controls and wrapped in Nappa leather. For the 2024 GLA, you can choose between Macchiato Beige and Artico Black leather upholstery. 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA Facelift: Tech Features & Safety The upgraded GLA comes with two 10.25-inch displays - one for the touchscreen infotainment system while the other one is for the driver. In comparison to before, the infotainment screen now runs on the latest MBUX – NTG7 system, supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In addition, the four-wheeler is packed with features like electrically adjustable front passenger seats with memory function, a gesture-controlled powered tailgate, 64-color ambient lighting, and a two-part panoramic sunroof. Passenger safety is a priority with 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, Adaptive High Beam Assist, Active Brake & Blind Spot Assist, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) among others.  2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA Facelift: Powertrain Details New Mercedes GLA Facelift carries forward the petrol and diesel engine options as before. These include a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine and 2.0-litre turbo-diesel. The petrol version uses a 7-speed DCT gearbox and is front-wheel drive.
