Mercedes E Class

The Mercedes E Class is a premium sedan that has been designed primarily for executive-level transportation and comfortable long-distance driving. The sedan is one of Mercedes-Benz's most successful models in the Indian market. 

It is built on a Mercedes-Benz MRA (Modular Rear Architecture) platform. The First-Generation E Class was introduced back in 1984 and was known as the W124. The current model sold in our country is in its fifth generation. 

Mercedes E Class: Exterior 

The exterior of the E Class provides a long hood, a low roofline and a sweeping silhouette that gives the sedan a sporty look. Up front, it offers Mercedes-Benz's iconic Three Pointed Star grille flanked by sleek LED headlights featuring a distinctive light signature. 

On the sides, the vehicle is dominated by a long and gentle sloping roofline. Its strong shoulder line with 17-inch alloy wheels and flared wheel arches give the vehicle a dynamic feel.  

Towards the rear, the presence of LED tail lights, chrome touches in the form on a strip and twin exhaust provide the car an elegant look.

Interior: The interior of the Mercedes E Class is spacious, luxurious, filled with advanced features and technologies. The vehicle offers a high-quality cabin with premium materials & finishes, including ARTICO man-made leather upholstery, wood trim and 64- colour ambient lighting. Its seats are electronically adjustable with functions such as heating, ventilation and massage. 

Features: New E Class gets features such as advanced dual 12.3-inch touchscreens (infotainment & instrument cluster) offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Further the equipment on the list includes a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, self-dimming function on ORVMs, rear reclining seats, 4-way lumbar support, electric sunblind, retractable rear touchscreen tablet, wireless charging, Burmester surround sound system among others. 

Safety: In terms of safety, New E Class gets 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, traction control, active parking assistant with PARKTRONIC, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, anti-theft engine immobilizer, central locking and parking assist.

2023 Mercedes E Class price starts from Rs 72.80 lakh and extends all the way to Rs 1,77 crore (ex-showroom). It is offered in a total of 3 variants namely Exclusive E 200, Exclusive E 220d and AMG E 350.

Mercedes E Class: Engine and Specification

The E Class comes equipped with two powertrain options. First is a 2.0-litre petrol engine that offers two states of tunes (197 bhp/320 Nm) and (192 bhp/400 Nm). The second happens to be a 3.0-litre diesel unit that produces (286 bhp/600 Nm) (429 bhp /520 Nm) of power and torque. This entire power plant lineup comes paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

The Mercedes E Class measures 4,835 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width and 1,430 mm in height having a wheelbase of 2,873 mm. The car gets a large 66-litre fuel tank and 17-inch alloy wheels.
