Mercedes AMG A45

The Mercedes AMG A45 is a 5-seater sports hatchback produced by Mercedes-Benz since 2013. The current model is in its second generation (2019-2023) that was introduced in India at the end of 2021.

The four-wheeler is built on the MFA (Modular Front Architecture) platform that has been specially designed for front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive compact cars.

The 2023 AMG A45 is part of Mercedes’ AMG high-performance division and is acclaimed for having the world’s most powerful four-cylinder turbo petrol engine.

Mercedes Benz AMG A45 exterior offers an aggressively raked stance and a bold design with cuts and creases. The front end of the vehicle provides a large panamericana grille that is complemented by angular headlights. Its sporty front bumper gets large air intakes that enhance the aerodynamics of the car.

On the sides, the aggressive nature of the four-wheeler continues with large 19-inch alloy wheels. Its sloping roofline and aerodynamic profile give the machine a very sporty look. 

Towards the rear, what we get to see is a large spoiler along with a black diffuser and dual exhaust tips that helps close the overall design.

Interior: The Mercedes AMG A45 interior offers a range of premium materials including leather seats, carbon-fiber accents and aluminum trim. The dashboard of the new model is well layered and is dominated by large screens.

The sporty bucket seats provide sufficient comfort and grip when attacking corners, while the new flat-bottom steering wheel completes the sporty intent on the inside.

The AMG A45 is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that is capable of delivering a power output of 421 bhp with 500 Nm torque.

The powertrain comes mated to an 8-speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch transmission and a 4Matic all-wheel-drive system. There are 6 drive modes on offer Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Slippery, Individual, Race and Drift mode. 

The AMG A45 measures 4,343 mm in length, 1,780 mm in width, 1,407 mm in height having a wheelbase of 2,699 mm. The car gets a large 51-litre fuel tank and 19-inch alloy wheels
