The EQB is a part of Mercedes-Benz India’s EQ electric vehicle lineup, which includes the EQS and the EQC. The electric vehicle is built on Mercedes-Benz's Compact Car Platform (MFA). Globally, the SUV made its debut in 2021 and is in its first generation.
Mercedes EQB provides a very compact and premium exterior design. Up front, it features a bold Black Panel front grille flanked by distinctive LED headlights with daytime running lights. The vehicle has a high roofline, short overhangs, 18-inch alloy wheels and a long wheelbase that enhances its SUV character.
Toward the rear, the four-wheeler gets a vertical tailgate, roof mounted spoiler and black plastic bumper. Further the LED taillight bar runs across the width of the car and adds an element of sophistication.
Interior: The EQB’s overall cabin layout is similar to the GLB, apart from the gold touches added to the air vents. The cabin offers an all-black colour theme with a well laid out dashboard and leatherette upholstery. Overall, the inside is luxurious and offers customers a whole lot of tech.
Features: Mercedes EQB gets features such as 10.25-inch dual displays, tri-zone climate control, multi-colour ambient light among others. The digital instrument cluster displays important information such as speed, range, battery levels, and navigation data in high definition.
Other equipment on board include power-adjustable front seats with memory function, heated/ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof and Keyless Go.
Safety: In terms of safety, 2023 Mercedes EQB gets multiple airbags and advanced driver assistance systems. The ADAS suite includes equipment like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, active parking assist with PARKTRONIC and automatic emergency braking. Mercedes EQB comes equipped with a 66.5kWh battery pack and dual electric motors that delivers a maximum power output of 225 bhp with 390 Nm of peak torque. It offers a range of 423 kms on a single full charge.
The battery can be charged from 10 percent to 100 percent in just 6 hours and 25 minutes via an 11kW AC charger. The 100kW DC fast charger can refill the battery from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 32 minutes.
Further, the model also comes fitted with an all-wheel drive system. Additionally, the four-wheeler has three Driving Modes namely Eco, Comfort and Sport.
The Mercedes Benz EQB measures 4,684 mm in length, 1,834 mm in width and 1,701 mm in height having a wheelbase of 2,829 mm. The car gets 18-inch alloy wheels.
There are 5 exterior colour options available on the Mercedes EQB. They include monotone colours such as Cosmos Black, Rose Gold, Mountain Grey, Digital White and Iridium Silver.
The Mercedes EQB offers a WLTP-rated range of up to 423 kms on a single full charge.
Currently the Mercedes Benz EQB does not have any direct rival in India.
