Latest Update - BMW India has launched the new iX1 Long Wheelbase variant in the country at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Claimed to be the most spacious model in its segment, the new BMW iX1 LWB is priced at Rs ₹49.00 Lakhs*, ex-showroom.

This electric SUV is available in a single variant, called the iX1 LWB. The BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase is available at a price tag of Rs ₹49.00 Lakhs*, ex-showroom. 

Key Features of BMW iX1

The BMW iX1 is equipped with features like an LED lighting system, twin curved displays for infotainment and a digital driver's display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and others. It comes with a Panoramic sunroof, Harman Kardon Sound System with 12 speakers, and M Sport interiors. 

Other features of the iX1 Long Wheelbase includes electrically adjustable front seats with memory and massage functions, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, adaptive suspensions and others. 

Safety Features of the BMW iX1

For safety, the iX1 has multiple airbags, rear parking sensors, park assist, reverse parking assist, traction control, stability control, rear-view camera, and driver assist functions like front collision warning and cruise control with brake assist.

The BMW iX1 LWB offers Parking Assistant via Active Park Distance Control control sensors at the front and rear, and rear view camera. Apart from that, it comes with ADAS technology with features like Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection and Rear Collision Warning.

The BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase is available in 5 color choices, namely Portimão Blue Metallic, Carbon Black Metallic, Mineral White Metallic, Sparkling Cooper Grey Metallic and Skyscraper Grey Metallic. 

Battery and Motor Specification

The new BMW iX1 LWB is equipped with a 66.4kWh Lithium Ion battery pack and 2 Permanent magnet synchronous electric motors - one placed on front axle and other on the rear axle. The maximum power and torque output stands at 204bhp and 250Nm, respectively. It has a top speed of 180 kmph and can complete the 0-100 kmph run in just 8.6 seconds. 

BMW iX1 LWB Range

The new iX1 Long Wheelbase is claimed to offer a range of up to 531km (MIDC) in a single charge. This high range makes it an ideal EV for daily urban drives and weekend get-aways.

iX1 Battery Charging Time

Using a 130kW charger, the battery can achieve a charge to offer 120km range in just 10 minutes. However, the 11kW home charger will take approximately 6.30 hours to energise the battery pack from zero to 100%.

Dimensions and Boot Space

The BMW iX1 LWB offers a generous boot space of 490-litres, which is more than sufficient to carry your weekend bags. It comes with the flexible 40:20:40 split-folding rear seats, which allows customer to expand the boot space up to 1600 litres. 

The 5-seater BMW iX1 LWB measures 4616mm in length, 1845mm in width and 1627mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2800mm. Compared to the previous iX1 model, the new LWB model is 116mm longer and has 108mm larger wheelbase.
