26 March 2025 - the new Kia EV6 facelift has been launched in the Indian market. Available in a single top-spec GT-Line AWD variant, the EV6 facelift is priced at Rs 65.9 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It is packed with a larger 84kWh battery and supports 350kW DC charger. The battery can achieve 10-80% charging status in just 18 minutes. On the WLTP cycle, the EV6 facelift has a claimed range of 581km on a single charge.

17 January 2025 - Kia has revealed the EV6 facelift at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. A single GT-Line AWD variant will go on sale in our market. It comes with subtle design changes and upgraded interiors with new features, and also packs new mechanics.

The Kia EV6 large and spacious cabin offers a luxurious feel with a layered dashboard design. Its dashboard houses the twin 12.3-inch floating screens, one for entertainment and the other for the instrument cluster.

The SUV comes with a simple and minimalist interior with buttons for climate and infotainment controls. The standout features of the cabin include 64 colour ambient lighting, a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, an augmented reality HUD, a shift-by-wire system, Black Suede seats with vegan leather bolstering, a smart powered tailgate, and a large electric sunroof. 

Designed using the ‘Opposites United’ philosophy, the Kia EV6’s exterior design is bold and futuristic. The model features angular headlamps with LED DRLs that constitute the new digital Tiger Nose grille. Towards the sides we get to see the aerodynamic profile of the vehicle along with the distinct crossover silhouette. 

The EV6 model has large 19-inch wheels and features flush fitting door handles, as well as the unique kink behind the C-pillar that is characteristic of the model. The aerodynamic design of the car is most noticeable in the sharply raked rear windscreen and the connected LED tail-lamp design at the back of the car.

Safety Features of the Kia EV6 GT-Line

In terms of safety, the EV6 gets 8 airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), hill-start assist control (HAC), ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, and others. 

In addition to these, the electric SUV also comes with 27 ADAS functionalities including Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with Stop & Go Functionality and more. 

Kia EV6 Battery Specifications and Range

The electric SUV is built on the electric global modular platform (E-GMP) that houses a floor-mounted battery. It is packed with a bigger 84kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery pack and two electric motors for all-wheel-drive setup. The combined power and torque output stands at 321bhp and 605Nm, respectively. The electric SUV is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in just 5.3 seconds. 

The EV6 GT Line is claimed to offer an ARAI certified range of 663km on a single charge. On the WLTP cycle, the electric SUV has a claimed range of 581km. Compared to the previous model with 77.4kWh battery, the new model offers 53km higher range. 

The electric battery supports fast charging. Using a 350kW DC fast charger, the battery can achieve 10% to 80% charging status in 18 minutes. With a 50kW DC charger, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 73 minutes. 

Dimensions and Boot Space

Dimensionally, the new EV6 GT-LIne is 4,695mm in length, 1,890mm in width and 1,570mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,900mm. The electric SUV has a ground clearance of 178mm, which is sufficient to tackle common Indian road conditions including minor speed bumps and uneven surfaces. 

The Kia EV6 has a boot space of 490-litres, which is more than sufficient to carry your weekend bags. It also offers a 52-litres frunk for smaller items. The boot space can be further extended by folding the second-row seats, which comes with 60:40 split function.

The 2025 Kia EV6 is available in 5 exterior colour choices including Wolf Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, Runway Red, Snow White Pearl and Yatch Blue.
