KIA EV6

KIA EV6 is a luxury electric vehicle that was launched in India at the start of June 2022. The company’s first-born electric car, the four-wheeler, is based on Hyundai Group’s e-GMP platform that made its global debut in 2021. The model’s new design language has been accepted by the masses as the company has sold all its allocation for 2022/2023.

KIA EV6: Exterior

Designed using the ‘Opposites United’ philosophy, the KIA EV6’s exterior design is bold and futuristic. The 2023 model features angular headlamps with LED DRLs that constitute the new digital Tiger Nose grille. Towards the sides we get to see the aerodynamic profile of the vehicle along with the distinct crossover silhouette. 

The 2023 KIA EV6 model has large 19-inch wheels and features flush fitting door handles, as well as the unique kink behind the C-pillar that is characteristic of the model. The aerodynamic design of the car is most noticeable in the sharply raked rear windscreen and the connected LED tail-lamp design at the back of the car.

KIA EV6: Interior and Features

Interior: Moving to the inside, one can see the KIA EV6 interior is modern and futuristic by design. The large and spacious cabin offers a layered dashboard design that houses the twin 12.3-inch floating screens, one for entertainment and the other for the instrument cluster. 

Features: The interior and features of the EV6 is simple and minimalist, with buttons for climate and infotainment controls located on the lower half of the dashboard. 

Some other standout features of the cabin include 64 color ambient lighting, a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, an augmented reality HUD, a shift-by-wire system, Black Suede seats with vegan leather bolstering, a smart powered tailgate, and a large electric sunroof.

Safety: In terms of safety, the EV6 provides 8-airbags, all-wheel disc brake, ESC, Hill-start Assist Control, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors as basic equipment. 

In addition to these, the SUV also comes with more than 10 ADAS functionalities that include Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with Stop & Go Functionality and more.

KIA EV6: Price and Variants

KIA EV6 price in India starts from Rs 60.95 lakh and extends to Rs 65.95 lakh (ex-showroom). It is offered in a total of 2 variants – GT Line and GT Line AWD.

KIA EV6: Battery and Specification

The KIA EV6 is available with two different powertrain options. Both options come with a 77.4 kWh battery pack. The first option is a single motor setup, which is capable of producing 225 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. The second option is a dual motor setup, which is more powerful and can generate up to 325 bhp and an impressive 605 Nm of peak torque.

The KIA EV6 measures 4695mm in length, is 1,890mm wide and 1,570mm in height having a wheelbase of 2,900mm. The car gets up to 708 kilometres of range and up to 350 kW DC charging capabilities.

The 2023 KIA EV6 is rated for a claimed range of up to 708 kilometres with the 77.4 kWh battery pack.

There are 6 distinct single tone exterior colour options available on the KIA EV6. They include Moonscape, Snow White Pearl, Runway Red, Aurora Black Pearl and Yatch Blue.
