Kia has officially revealed the PV5, a mid-sized electric van, at the 2025 Kia EV Day in Spain. This is the first model under Kia’s new "Platform Beyond Vehicle" (PBV) strategy, focusing on flexibility and customization.

Passenger: A three-row seating layout, ideal for ride-hailing, travel, and camping.
Cargo: A high-roof van with up to 5.1 m³ storage capacity, available in standard, long, and high-roof options. It includes an L-track mounting system for adjustable storage and a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature for extra power supply.
Chassis Cab: A basic model designed for modifications, such as drop-side trucks or freezer boxes.
Battery Choices: 51.5 kWh, 71.2 kWh NCM, and an additional 43.3 kWh LFP option for the Cargo model.
Power: 120 kW front motor with 250 Nm torque.
Range: Up to 400 km with the 71.2 kWh battery.
Fast charging: 10% to 80% in 30 minutes.

Infotainment: 7-inch instrument cluster + 12.9-inch navigation screen.
Android Automotive OS: Supports business applications and app downloads.
Over-the-Air (OTA) Updates: Ensures the latest software updates.
V2L Capability: Allows power supply for external devices.
Sales start in Korea and Europe in late 2025, with other markets following in 2026.
Pre-orders open in early 2025 for Korea and Europe.
Customizable versions will roll out between 2025 and 2026.

Kia has not yet confirmed that the PV5 electric van will be available in India. However, given the growing demand for electric commercial vehicles, it's possible that the PV5 could be available in India in the future.
