2. Why Prices Vary Across Cities

Banalore (Karnataka): it has India’s highest road tax slabs (18% - 20% + road safety ceases). This takes Sorento’s top-end variant on-road price past the Rs 50 lakh mark.

Delhi NCR: Benefits for lower RTO structure on Strong-Hybrid powertrains compared to heavy diesel slabs, resulting in competitive on-road price for the 1.6L Hybrid trims.

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Standard registration charges (13% - 15% on diesel/petrol above Rs 20 lakh) plus municipal octroi/cess additions.

Chennai (Tamil Nadu): Road taxes around 15% on cars above Rs 20 lakh, ex-showroom.

3: Key Variant Highlights & Powertrain Choices

1.6-litre Turbo Petrol Strong-Hybrid: the setup offers a combined power output of 230 PS, paired with a multi-mode automatic gearbox. It delivers a certified fuel economy of 19.6 kmpl

2.2L CRDi turbo diesel: the engine produces 190 bhp and 440 Nm of torque, and is paired to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

(A) suffix refers to variants equipped with LEVEL 2+ ADAS tech
AWD: Offered with the upper HTX and HTX (A) grades with Terrain Modes (Snow, Sand, Mud).
Black Line Package: Customers can opt for the Black Line Package by paying an extra Rs 20,000 ex-showroom
