Kia has launched the new Sorento in India, with introductory prices starting at Rs 27.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The premium SUV is available with both diesel and hybrid powertrains and can be had with either six or seven seats.
The Sorento is offered in several variants, giving buyers a wide choice depending on their preferred powertrain, features and seating layout. The top-spec version is priced at Rs 40.39 lakh.

The Kia Sorento range starts with the 7-seat HTE diesel variant, priced at Rs 27.99 lakh. The same powertrain is also available in higher variants, with prices increasing up to Rs 38.89 lakh for the 6-seat HTX(A) Black Line AWD version.
The Smartstream D2.2 diesel with an 8-speed DCT is available in both six- and seven-seat configurations. The seven-seat version is priced from Rs 27.99 lakh to Rs 38.69 lakh, depending on the variant and drivetrain.
The six-seat diesel range starts from the HTK variant at Rs 32.69 lakh. Prices go up to Rs 38.89 lakh for the HTX(A) Black Line AWD.

Kia is also offering the Sorento with a Smartstream G1.6 T-GDi hybrid powertrain, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The 7-seat hybrid version starts at Rs 29.49 lakh for the HTE variant. Prices go up to Rs 40.19 lakh for the HTX(A) Black Line AWD.
For buyers looking for the six-seat layout, the hybrid range starts with the HTK variant at Rs 34.19 lakh. The range tops out at Rs 40.39 lakh for the HTX(A) Black Line AWD.
This makes the hybrid version slightly more expensive than the diesel variants across the range.
The new Sorento is available with two seating layouts. Buyers can choose between a traditional seven-seat configuration and a six-seat version.
The seven-seat option is available from the entry-level HTE variant. The six-seat configuration is offered from the HTK variant onwards.
The six-seat version is aimed at buyers who prefer a more premium cabin layout, with individual seats in the second row.
All-wheel drive is available on the higher-spec Sorento variants. The AWD range starts with the HTX diesel at Rs 37.49 lakh.
The HTX Black Line AWD is priced at Rs 37.69 lakh, while the HTX(A) AWD costs Rs 38.49 lakh. The HTX(A) Black Line AWD is priced at Rs 38.69 lakh with the diesel engine.
With the hybrid powertrain, AWD prices start at Rs 38.99 lakh for the 7-seat HTX variant and go up to Rs 40.19 lakh for the 7-seat HTX(A) Black Line. The 6-seat hybrid HTX(A) Black Line AWD is the most expensive version at Rs 40.39 lakh.
Kia is also offering different equipment packs across the Sorento range. The HTE(O) variant comes with the Convenience Pack.
The variants carrying the (A) suffix get the ADAS Pack along with the Black Line Styling Pack. The Black Line versions also get styling changes that set them apart from the standard variants.
All prices announced by Kia are introductory ex-showroom prices, and the company has stated that terms and conditions apply.
