Kia Sorento Hybrid to return 19.60 kmpl Diesel 2WD delivers 17.66 kmpl
Kia India has finally released the fuel efficiency figures for the recently launched Sorento SUV. The SUV was launched in September 2026 at a starting price of Rs 27.99 lakh, ex-showroom. Kia has also announced the Carnival Hybrid, which is expected to be launched in our market by the end of this financial year.

The Sorento hybrid 2WD version is claimed to return an ARAI certified fuel economy of 19.60 kmpl. Its 4WD version delivers 17.70kmpl.
The diesel 2WD and diesel 4WD versions have claimed mileage figures of 17.66 kmpl and 15.79 kmpl, respectively.
The Kia Sorento is available with a 1.6-litre hybrid powertrain and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The hybrid system combines a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor and a small battery pack. The engine produces 180 hp, while the electric motor adds another 65 PS. The engine offers a peak torque of 265 Nm, while electric motor delivers 264 Nm. It is paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The traditional 2.2-litre diesel engine produces 193 PS and 442 Nm of torque, and is paired to an 8-speed wet dual-clutch DCT. Both versions are offered with 2WD and 4WD drivetrains.
Kia Sorento Key Details
The Kia Sorento diesel range starts at Rs 27.99 lakh and extends up to Rs 38.89 lakh. On the flip side, the base Sorento hybrid is priced at Rs 29.49 lakh and its top-end variant is priced at Rs 40.39 lakh, ex-showroom.
The Sorento measures 4,815mm in length, 1,900mm in width and 1,785mm in height, with a 2,815mm wheelbase. The SUV gets a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument console. In terms of features, the Kia Sorento gets ventilated front and second-row seats, a 10-way electric driver's seat, four-way power adjustable co-occupant seat, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate and a 12-speaker Bose audio system.
