Engine and Transmission

BMW offers the X5 with both petrol and diesel engines. The xDrive40i trims come with a 3.0-litre inline-six twin-turbo engine producing a whopping power output of 381PS and 520Nm of max torque, whereas the xDrive30d trims feature a 3.0-litre inline-six oil burner generating 286PS and 650Nm. The power is sent to the rear-biased all-wheel-drive system via an 8-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox.
