BMW X5 new petrol and diesel variants now in India M Sport Pro adds sporty looks and premium interiors xOffroad package enhances off-road performance
BMW India has expanded its premium SUV lineup with the launch of new X5 variants. Made locally at the BMW Group Plant in Chennai, the updated X5 is now available in both petrol and diesel options. The new models bring a combination of powerful engines, sporty design, advanced technology, and luxury interiors. With features like the M Sport Pro package, the xOffroad package, and the fully digital Widescreen Curved Display, the BMW X5 now offers a more dynamic driving experience, whether on city roads, highways, or rough terrains.
The ex-showroom prices for the BMW X5 variants are:
BMW X5 xDrive30d – Rs 1,02,30,000
BMW X5 xDrive30d M Sport Pro – Rs 1,15,00,000
BMW X5 xDrive40i – Rs 1,00,30,000
BMW X5 xDrive40i M Sport Pro – Rs 1,13,00,000
The BMW X5 is available in six metallic paint options - Brooklyn Grey, Carbon Black, Mineral White, Skyscraper Grey, Tanzanite Blue, and Black Sapphire.
The M Sport Pro variant features BMW Individual Merino leather upholstery in Tartufo, Black and Ivory White, Black. The standard variant comes with perforated Sensafin upholstery with Cognac stitching.
The BMW X5 has a robust and confident design. It features matrix Adaptive LED headlights with blue accents and BMW Selective Beam. The L-shaped rear lights create a strong X motif. Standard 21-inch alloy wheels boosts its road presence.
The M Sport Pro Package adds high gloss black elements, M Sport brakes, M Sport Exhaust, and piano black interior trims for a sportier look.
BMW X5 comes with a fully digital BMW Widescreen Curved Display. It combines a 12.3-inch instrument display and a 14.9-inch central control display behind a single glass surface.
All variants have Comfort Seats with electric adjustment and lumbar support. Other standard features include a 4-zone automatic climate control, Harman Kardon surround sound, Comfort Access, Panoramic sunroof, and Travel & Comfort System.
BMW ConnectedDrive includes BMW ID, MyBMW App, Digital Key Plus, Emergency Call, Real-time Traffic Information, Remote Services, and iDrive interaction. The Digital Key Plus lets you open and drive the car using a smartphone.
The BMW X5 comes with extensive driver assistance systems, including Cruise Control, Parking Assistant Professional with Surround View, Reversing Assistant, and Drive Recorder. Safety features include airbags, DSC with CBC, electric parking brake, ISOFIX child mounts, and emergency spare wheel.
The petrol BMW X5 xDrive40i has a 3-litre 6-cylinder engine with 381 hp and 520 Nm torque. It does 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds. The diesel BMW X5 xDrive30d has a 3-litre 6-cylinder engine with 286 hp and 650 Nm torque. It does 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds.
Both engines use a 48V electrical motor for extra efficiency. The eight-speed Steptronic transmission offers smooth shifts. BMW xDrive all-wheel-drive and Adaptive 2-Axle Air Suspension ensure stability and comfort.
The new xOffroad package adds four off-road modes- xSand, xRocks, xGravel, and xSnow. It adjusts vehicle height, acceleration, and traction for tough terrains. Reinforced underbody protection and off-road camera view enhance safety.
