Bookings of the new 7-Series and i7 are now open at BMW India dealerships, and deliveries are being promised to commence from October 2026.
The new 7-Series facelift is powered by the 3.0-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol, straight-six engine, which is mated to a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The powertrain now produces up to 400hp and 540Nm of torque, which is 19hp and 20Nm more than its predecessor. The sedan is not available with a diesel powertrain in India.
Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph acceleration in just 5.4 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph. The sedan comes equipped with rear-wheel steering and adaptive suspension.
The BMW i7 50 xDrive M Sport trim offers 455hp and 600Nm, and it is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph acceleration in just 5.5 seconds before hitting a top speed of 210kmph. It is packed with a 112.5kWh battery pack, and offers a WLTP rated range of 728km on a single charge.

Using a 250kW DC fast charger, the battery can achieve 10-80 percent charging status in just 28 minutes. BMW claims that a 10-minute charge can add a range of 235km.
