Latest Updates: The limited-run BMW XM Label, the most powerful M-branded car, has been launched in India at Rs 3.15 crore (ex-showroom). It has been confined to just 500 units worldwide and only one unit is available for sale in India.
BMW XM Price: The XM is available in a sole xDrive variant, which is priced at Rs 2.60 crore (ex-showroom).
Key Features of BMW XM: - The XM gets the 12.3-inch digital instrument console and a 14.9-inch touchscreen operating on the latest iDrive 8 software, BMW Gesture Control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration support, a Bowers & Wilkins Diamond 3D premium surround sound system, head-up display, multi-contour front seats with electric adjustment functionality and massage & memory functions, Active Seat Ventilation, 4-zone climate control, wireless smartphone charger, ambient lighting, auto tailgate, panoramic sunroof, etc.
Safety Features: Part of the safety kit is multiple airbags, tyre pressure indicator, cornering brake control, dynamic stability control, active roll stabilisation, Parking Assistant Plus, and a driver-assistance suite, with a host of active safety features like automatic speed limit assist, lane keep assist, lane change assist, active cruise control with stop&go, evasion assistant, rear collision prevention, steering & lane control assistant, cross-traffic alert, and much more.
Engine and Automatic: The BMW XM gets a 4.4-litre M TwinPower Turbo V8 engine (489PS/650Nm), paired with a plug-in hybrid system, offering a combined power output of 653PS and 800Nm. That’s good enough to complete the century sprint in simply 4.3 seconds before attaining an electronically capped top speed of 250 kmph. However, with the M Driver’s package, the top speed can be increased to 270 kmph. Automatic duties on this Bimmer are taken care of by an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic unit, propelling all four wheels of the car via the xDrive AWD system.
On the other hand, the XM Label Edition produces a maximum power output of 748PS, along with a peak torque of 1000Nm.
Mileage: Thanks to its underfloor-mounted 25.7kWh lithium battery pack, this plug-in hybrid performance SUV can return a WLTP-certified pure electric range of up to 88 kilometres. When combined with the ICE mill, it can deliver a combined fuel efficiency of 61.9 kmpl.
Colours: It comes in seven colour options: Mineral White, Black Sapphire, Toronto Red, Marina Bay Blue, Cape York Green, Carbon Black and BMW Individual Dravit Grey.
Dimensions and Boot: The XM is 5,110mm long, 2,005 wide, 1,755mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 3,105mm. It has a luggage capacity of 527 litres that can be extended to 1,820 litres with the last row folded.
Competition Check: The XM takes on the likes of the Audi RSQ8, Aston Martin DBX, and Lamborghini Urus.
