March 27, 2025 - the Japanese automaker has launched the updated Land Cruiser 300 in Japan. The SUV received some tech-related upgrades; however, the design and mechanics remain the same. It is now equipped with a 12.3-inch TFT instrument console in the higher trims and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. The SUV also gets My Car Start Lock that enables owner to lock the engine remotely using LC’s smartphone application. Adding to it, a new fingerprint authentication start button has also been added.

February 19, 2025 - the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser has finally been launched in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 2.31 crore (ex-showroom). The new LC300 is available in two variants ZX and GR-S (GR-Sport variant).

The new Land Cruiser 300 comes with advanced driver assistance system, called Toyota Safety Sense suite. The ADAS features include Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist and Adaptive High-Beam System.

For safety and security, the new LC300 gets 10 SRS airbags, 360-degree surround view camera, all-4 disc brakes, vehicle stability control, and front and rear parking sensors. Other safety tech includes vehicle dynamic management, brake assist, crawl control with turn assist, blind spot monitor, downhill assist control, and tyre pressure monitoring system.

The latest LC300 received a five-star safety rating from the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP). It performed well including frontal offset, side impacts, and protection for both the driver and rear passenger. The SUV also scored good in providing protection to pedestrian and cyclists.

Engine and Transmission

The new Land Cruiser 300 is built on the Toyota's TNGA-F platform with a ladder-frame chassis, which makes new SUV lighter and stiffer. Powering the new LC300 is a 3.3-litre, twin-turbocharged V6 diesel engine that is paired to a 10-speed automatic gearbox. This engine churns out 304bhp of power and 700Nm of torque. 

Power is transmitted to wheels via a full-time 4WD system. The AWD integrated management (AIM) system is claimed to work in real time to adapt to changing road conditions. The SUV gets Multi-Terrain Select (MTS), and Multi-Terrain Monitor that provide precise control and guidance when navigating through sand, mud, snow or rocky landscapes. 

The new Land Cruiser GR-S variant comes with an off-road-tuned suspension, featuring differential locks and improved shock absorbers to tackle extreme conditions.

Dimensions of LC300

There is enough room for both people and cargo in the Toyota Land Cruiser, making it very comfortable to travel. This lifestyle SUV measures 4985 mm in length, 1980 mm in width, and 1945 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2850 mm. The large 110-litre fuel tank allows longer journeys without frequent stops for refueling. The SUV rides on 20-inch wheels wrapped in 265/55 section tyres. Interestingly, the GR-S or Sport variant comes with 18-inch alloy wheels shod with 265/65 section multi-terrain tires.
