Range Rover Variants

Land Rover offers the Range Rover SUV only in the long-wheelbase version in India. Currently, it comes in two standard variants: HSE and Autobiography. It also has a limited edition, the SV Ranthambore Edition, priced at Rs 4.98 crore (all prices, ex-showroom). The latter boasts a host of visual enhancements and added features over the regular model.

Most Value for Money Variant

Both the variants of the Range Rover are identical, offering the same design and a similar set of features. The main difference is only the powertrain. The HSE has a diesel engine, while the Autobiography has a petrol engine. So, it all comes down to your preference for the engine option.

Key Features of the Land Rover Range Rover 

The Range Rover rides on 22-inch diamond-turned gloss dark grey wheels. In terms of features, the luxury SUV has digital LED headlamps with signature DRLs, a powered gesture tailgate, flush-fitting door handles, soft-close doors and a panoramic sunroof.

The new Land Rover Range Rover comes fitted with a 13.7-inch digital driver's display, a 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and a 1600W Meridian 3D sound system with 34 speakers. Other features semi-aniline leather seats, a PM2.5 air filter, noise-cancellation, four-zone climate control, wireless charging, a heads-up display, rear entertainment screens, heated/ventilated, and massage seats, fully reclinable rear seat with footrests, electronic air suspensions, etc.

It also features luxury add-ons like a built-in mini fridge in the centre console, rear deployable tables, and premium wood & metal trims throughout the cabin.

The Land Rover Range Rover claims to deliver a fuel efficiency of 10.42 km/l with the petrol and 13.16 km/l with the diesel engine.

Passenger’s safety is ensured by multiple airbags, park assist for automated parallel & perpendicular parking, blind-spot assist to alert you about vehicles in your blind zones, a 360-degree camera for a complete surround view, emergency braking to avoid collisions, lane keep assist to help you stay within your lane, and adaptive cruise control to maintain speed and a safe distance from the vehicles ahead.

The Range Rover can be had in four seductive colour options: Santorini Black, Fuji White, Eiger Grey and Bautami Gold.

Engine and Transmission

The Land Rover Range Rover comes with two engine choices. The HSE variant is equipped with a 3-litre mild-hybrid diesel engine producing 351PS of max power and 700Nm of torque. On the other hand, the Autobiography variant gets a 3-litre mild-hybrid turbocharged petrol mill delivering 398PS and 550Nm. 

Both these engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, transmitting power to all four wheels.

Dimensions and Boot Space

Offered only in the LWB version, this mammoth is 5252mm long, 2220mm wide, and 1870mm tall. It boasts a wheelbase of 3197mm, while its cargo capacity is rated at around 818 litres.
