BMW has equipped the 3 Series with a panoramic glass sunroof, BMW curved displays, connected car tech, voice assist, anti-dazzle function for the powered wing mirrors, a 16-speaker, 464-Watt Harman Kardon surround sound system, three-zone climate control, ambient lighting, wireless smartphone charging, powered front seats with memory function for the driver, and three driving modes (Comfort, ECO PRO, Sport).

Passenger safety is assured by multiple airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist, corner brake control, dynamic traction control, dynamic stability control, front & rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, a tyre pressure indicator, an electronic parking brake, and a park assist system.

Engine and Transmission

The 3 Series Long Wheelbase is available in a single petrol variant; however, diesel version will be launched at a later stage. The petrol engine is a 2.0-litre, TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder unit that belts out 258hp and a peak torque of 400Nm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic gearbox. 

The 3-Series Gran Limousine is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph acceleration in just 6.2 seconds. The sedan comes with steering wheel paddle shifters and cruise control with braking function. It also has Launch Control function, which allows drivers to achieve maximum acceleration with optimized traction from a standstill. Customers will have a choice of 3 drive modes - Eco PRO, COMFORT and SPORT.

Dimensions and Boot

The 3 Series Gran Limousine measures 4819mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2961mm, making it the longest car in the category. It is claimed to have the most spacious second-row seats. It offers a boot space of 450 litres.
