New Skoda Epiq Electric SUV Testing Begins; Debut in 2026

Epiq will be the smallest Skoda electric SUV It will be launched in the global markets in 2026 The Skoda Epiq will offer a range of around 400km in a single charge

Skoda showcased its smallest ever electric SUV, called the Skoda Epiq in March, 2024 in a concept avatar. This baby electric SUV will be positioned below the Skoda Elroq electric SUV. Scheduled to make its global debut in 2026, the Skoda Epiq has been caught testing for the first time on public roads.

The spotted model was heavily camouflaged, but it is clearly visible that the Skoda Epiq will share its design with the bigger Skoda SUVs, including Elroq and Enyaq. It features the familiar ‘Tick Deck’ face with a gloss-black panel housing radars for ADAS tech. It has Elroq-like headlamps and daytime running lights.

The lower bumper has uniquely styled vents, which makes it look different from its larger siblings. It features a clamshell bonnet that merges nicely with the A-pillar. The SUV has a smaller wheelbase and shorter front and rear overhangs. It measures 4.1 meters in length, which makes it a direct rival to several budget electric SUVs, including the Citroen e-C3 and the BYD Atto 2.

The SUV is likely to get the concept’s T-shaped rear tail-lights, SKODA lettering and number plate on the boot-lid. The small SUV is likely to offer a boot space of up to 490-litres. The roof rails and prominent cladding give it a rugged look.

The cabin details are yet to be revealed, but the production model is likely to share design layout and features with the concept. The Epiq concept is equipped with a 2-spoke steering wheel, a 5.3-inch digital driver’s display and a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment unit in the centre.

The Skoda Epiq is likely to be offered with multiple battery choices. The company has already confirmed that the electric SUV will offer a range of around 400kms in a single charge. It will also come with V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) and V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) functions.
