Toyota Vellfire

The Toyota Vellfire is a strong hybrid minivan launched in the country as a sporty alternative to the Alphard. The car was first introduced in 2008 and has since spawned two generations. In our country, it was introduced as the second-generation model. Built on the Toyota New MC platform, the 2023 Vellfire has received minor cosmetic revisions along with a more efficient powertrain.

Toyota Vellfire: Exterior

The 2023 Toyota Vellfire provides a boxy exterior design that features a short bonnet and a steeply raked windscreen. The Vellfire MPV's front design is characterized by a flat nose that showcases a large chrome horizontal grille on top and a small air intake at the bottom. The grille is accompanied by new rectangular LED headlamps that feature sequential LED turn indicators placed just below them.

Moving to the sides, we get to see the long sliding doors along with wide glass housing that wraps around the car. The multi-spoke R17 alloy wheels look tiny compared to the large proportions of the MPV.

Towards the rear, features a new design for the LED tail lamps alongside a flat tailgate and a thick chrome bar running the width of the car.

Toyota Vellfire: Interiors and Features

Interior: Moving to the inside, the 2023 Toyota Vellfire offers a luxurious interior finished in leather. The tastefully designed cabin provides a lounge-like experience for the second-row occupants. Up front, the dashboard is finished in all-black theme with wood inserts giving overal al premium feel to the MPV.

Features: The Vellfire MPV offers a lot of features such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, dual zone climate control, dual-pane sunroof, powered front seats with electric ottoman and memory function.

Towards the rear, the second row passengers are provided with a lounge-like experience due to reclining captain seats. In addition, 2nd row passengers get individual AC controls, surround sound 17 speaker JBL system, roof mounted entertainment screen, privacy screen, 16-colour ambient lighting, VIP spotlight, chauffeur controls and more.

Safety: In terms of safety, the new Vellfire gets 7-airbags, ABS with EBD, vehicle stability control, TPMS, engine immobiliser, panoramic view monitor and more basic equipment.

Toyota Vellfire: Price and Variants

Toyota Vellfire is priced at Rs 1.20 crore (ex-showroom) and is offered in only 2 variant in India. 

Toyota Vellfire: Engine and Specification

The Indian version of the Toyota Vellfire comes equipped with only a strong hybrid petrol engine option. This includes the familiar 2.5-litre unit that is rated for a maximum power output of 115 bhp and peak torque of 198 Nm mated to an e-CVT gearbox with e-FOUR AWD drivetrain.

The New Toyota Vellfire measures 4,935mm in length, 1,850mm in width and 1,895mm in height having a wheelbase of 3,000mm. The car gets a 58-litre fuel tank and up to 17-inch alloy wheels.
