Maruti Suzuki Eeco is the cheapest 7-seater van currently on sale in the India. Introduced as the 10th-generation of the globally popular Suzuki Carry, the Maruti Eeco went on sale in India during 2010. The latest generation model was first showcased at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo, before it was launched in September 2019.

For 2023, the company updated the four-wheeler with a more efficient powertrain and gave its interiors a slight makeover. The Eeco is an older model in the Indian market. It has been successful, specifically in the cargo and ambulance segment, because of its spacious and functional cabin.

Maruti Suzuki Eeco: Exterior

The Maruti Suzuki Eeco exterior features a familiar design that is unchanged from the 2001 Versa. The front offers a short overhang along with a very steeply raked windscreen. The bonnet dips sharply giving the driver a good view of the road ahead.

Towards the sides we get to witness the boxy design with no real character line. The car features sliding rear doors along with 13-inch steel wheels. Overall, the design of the 2023 Eeco is plain and adopts the function over form philosophy.

Interior:
The Maruti Suzuki Eeco is the only car with a mechanical dashboard. This type of dashboard was popular in Maruti Suzuki models from the 2000's. However, the interior is still quite basic. Hard plastics are used for the finish, and the seats are made of fabric without any bolstering.

Features:
The 2023 Eeco has been slightly upgraded in the cabin. It now includes new AC controls and a digital speedometer. The new model skips on essential equipment like a touchscreen system, bluetooth connectivity and more. One can even order the Eeco without AC to save extra cost.

Safety:
In terms of safety, the Eeco provides 2-airbags, ABS with EBD, engine immobiliser and reverse parking sensors.

Maruti Suzuki Eeco: Price and Variants

Maruti Eeco price in India starts from Rs 5.32 lakh and extends to Rs 6.58 lakh (ex-showroom). It is offered in a total of 4 variants – STD and STD AC with both 5 and 7-seater configurations. The CNG powertrain is available on the STD AC variant only.

Maruti Suzuki Eeco: Engine and Specification

2023 Maruti Suzuki Eeco is powered by the updated 1.2-litre K12N engine. This unit is offered with both petrol and CNG fuel type.

The engine in the petrol guise produces 80bhp and 104 Nm of torque. For the CNG version, these figures drop to 71bhp and 95 Nm. The New Eeco only comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Maruti Suzuki Eeco measures 3,675mm in length, is 1,475mm wide and 1,825mm tall having a wheelbase of 2,350mm. The car gets a small 32-litre fuel tank and 13-inch steel wheels.

The Maruti Suzuki Eeco has different mileage ratings for petrol and CNG variants. The petrol version has an efficiency of 19.71 kmpl. The CNG trim has a mileage of 26.78 km/kg.
