Hyundai India has officially announced to launch 26 new cars and SUVs in the country by FY2030. The company will introduce 7 all-new nameplates across different segments. Moreover, Hyundai has confirmed that it will enter the MPV and off-road SUV segments.
Hyundai will launch its first locally manufactured born-electric SUV in the country by 2027. It is most likely to be a micro electric vehicle based on the Inster EV on sale in international markets.
Hyundai’s luxury vehicle arm, Genesis, will finally enter the Indian market in 2027. The company has not revealed the possible products, but its SUV line-up, GV70, GV80 and GV90 could be introduced in our market.
Hyundai will launch a new MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) in the Indian market. It could either be the Stargazer budget-friendly MPV or the Staria premium MPV. We believe that the Stargazer could be the right choice for our market. It will challenge the likes of the Kia Carens Clavis and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
Hyundai is developing an all-new off-road SUV, which will target the Ford Everest and Toyota 4Runner in the global markets. The Korean automaker could launch this SUV in our market as a direct rival to the Toyota Fortuner.
The Korean brand will introduce eight new hybrid models by 2030. Both existing and new nameplates will come with the strong hybrid engines. The next-gen Creta, scheduled to be launched in early 2027, will be the first Hyundai in India to get a strong hybrid engine.
Hyundai believes that hybrid vehicles would contribute to around 16 percent of their total sales in India. The company is also working on an all-new crossover, which will rival the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. The new crossover will be the Indianized version of the Bayon crossover on sale in Europe.
The company is also focusing on increasing its exports, and is aiming to achieve up to 30% export contributions by 2030. The company will invest around Rs 45,000 crores by FY2030.
