Maruti Suzuki has finally revealed the Victoris mid-sized SUV with several segment-leading features. The SUV shares its powertrains with the Grand Vitara, including a 1.5L petrol mild-hybrid, a 1.5L strong hybrid and a factory-fitted underbody CNG tank. The Maruti Victoris hybrid is claimed to offer an ARAI certified mileage of 28.65kmpl, making it India’s most fuel efficient SUV.

Maruti Victoris is powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol with a mild-hybrid tech. This engine produces 102bhp at 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 139Nm at 4300rpm. It is paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The automatic version also gets an AWD (All-Wheel-Drive) system.
The Victoris is India’s first car to feature an underbody CNG tank. In the CNG mode, the power and torque output drops to 87bhp at 5500rpm and 121.5Nm at 4200rpm. While running in petrol mode, the engine produces 100bhp at 6000rpm and 137.1Nm at 4300rpm.
The strong hybrid version comprise a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine, a 177.6V lithium-ion battery and an AC synchronous motor, and is paired to an e-CVT. The petrol engine produces 92bhp at 5500rpm and a peak torque of 122Nm at 3800-4800rpm. The electric motor is rated at 80hp and adds another 141Nm. It comes with 3 drive modes - Eco, Normal and Power.

In terms of proportions, the Maruti Victoris is 4360mm long, 1795mm wide and 1655mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2600mm. Compared to the Grand Vitara, the Victoris is 15mm longer and 10mm taller.

The Victoris is available in 7 monotone colours, including Eternal Blue, Sizzling Red, Mystic Green, Bluish Black, Arctic White, Magma Grey and Splendid Silver. The Eternal Blue, Sizzling Red and Splendid Silver also comes in dual-tone form with Bluish Black Roof.
