MG Motor India is ready to raise the bar in the full-size SUV space with the upcoming MG Majestor, scheduled to launch on February 12, 2026. Positioned as the brand’s new flagship, the Majestor will sit above the Gloster and target buyers looking for a powerful, premium, and rugged SUV.

The MG Majestor price in India is expected to fall between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be priced higher than the Gloster, which currently costs between Rs 38.33 lakh and Rs 42.49 lakh. In this price range, the Majestor will compete with SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, and Skoda Kodiaq.
MG Majestor draws heavy inspiration from the Maxus D90 SUV sold in international markets. At the front, it gets a large grille with gloss black elements, vertically stacked LED headlamps, and slim eyebrow-style LED DRLs. The rugged black bumper with silver inserts gives it a tough SUV look.
Along the sides, the SUV features strong body cladding, dual-tone 19-inch alloy wheels, black door handles, and black roof rails. At the rear, the Majestor gets connected LED tail-lights, a black bumper, faux silver skid plate, and twin exhaust-style elements that add to its premium appeal.
While the MG Majestor interior was not fully revealed at the Auto Expo, spy images suggest a cabin similar to the Maxus D90. It is expected to get a 12.3-inch floating touchscreen, a digital driver display, and a 3-spoke steering wheel with a column-mounted gear selector.
Since the Majestor will be positioned above the Gloster, it is likely to offer more features. For reference, the Gloster already comes with a panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, wireless charging, a 12-speaker sound system, powered front seats with massage function, and a powered tailgate. The Majestor is expected to build on this with even more premium tech.
MG Majestor is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing around 216 hp and 479 Nm of torque. This engine will likely be paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and a 4WD system, similar to the setup seen on the Gloster.
In some international markets, the same engine offers up to 500 Nm of torque, so MG may tune it further for India. This setup will make the Majestor suitable for both highway cruising and off-road use.
