Skoda Auto has officially confirmed the name of its upcoming 7-seater electric SUV. It will be called Skoda Peaq, and once launched, it will become the brand’s flagship EV. Along with the name, Skoda has also teased the rear design of the SUV for the first time.
The Skoda Peaq is the production version of the Vision 7S Concept, which was first shown in August 2022. The concept received a strong response globally and also attracted a lot of attention in India at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo.
The Vision 7S introduced Skoda’s new Modern Solid design language, and the Peaq is expected to carry this bold and futuristic look into production.

The latest teaser image shows the rear end of the Skoda Peaq, highlighting its LED tail-lamp signature. The design looks clean and modern, staying close to the concept version.
The name “Peaq” reflects its position at the top of Skoda’s EV lineup. With three rows of seating, the SUV is aimed at families looking for space, comfort, and long-distance usability.
Inside, the Skoda Peaq is expected to offer a spacious and tech-focused cabin. Features likely to be carried over from the concept include sporty seats, a double D-cut steering wheel, a digital driver display, a rotating infotainment screen, smart dials for climate and audio controls, and dual wireless phone chargers.
For the production model, Skoda is expected to use conventional B-pillars and regular ORVMs, unlike the concept which had suicide doors and cameras.
Skoda Peaq could be offered with an 89 kWh battery pack. It is expected to support 200 kW DC fast charging and deliver a driving range of up to 600 km on a single charge, making it suitable for long journeys.
Skoda has not shared exact launch dates yet, but the Peaq is expected to debut globally in summer 2026. Details about market-specific launches, including India, are yet to be confirmed.
Martin Jahn, Škoda Auto Board Member for Sales and Marketing, said that the Vision 7S marked the beginning of a new chapter for the brand. With Peaq, Skoda aims to take its core values of space and practicality to the next level, while clearly defining its electric future.
