Maruti Suzuki Ignis Overview
Maruti Suzuki Ignis is the cheapest subcompact premium hatchback car model currently on sale in the India. The Suzuki iM-4 Concept was unveiled at the 85th Geneva International Motor Show. In 2016, the next generation car went on sale in India. The 2023 Ignis is sold through the brand's premium NEXA dealership chain and offers a unique experience to its buyers.
The Ignis is a relatively new model in the company's product line. It has only been offered as the second-generation model. In 2020, the Ignis received a mid-life facelift.
Maruti Suzuki Ignis: Exterior
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis exterior design is bold and eye-catching with a flat bonnet and an upright stance. The crossover hatchback features a different front grille that houses the Suzuki logo in the center flanked by four chrome slots. The car gets square headlamps with U shaped LED DRLs and a silver skid plate, completing the rugged look.
We can see new 15-inch black alloy wheels on the sides of Ignis. Additionally, black body cladding is present all around, especially on the wheel arches and under the side sills.
Towards the rear, its bold look is completed by the sturdy skid plate and striking roof-mounted spoiler. The robust design language with a wide stance accentuates the style quotient of the vehicle.

Maruti Suzuki Ignis features a rugged-looking dashboard inside. The dashboard is finished in a dual-tone black and ivory theme. The layout is unconventional when compared with other Maruti car models. The use of decent quality plastics and good finish provide the cabin with a premium feel.

The 2023 Ignis gets a 7-inch SmartPlay Studio infotainment system with 4 speakers, analogue speedometer with digital MID. Three-spoke steering wheel with audio controls and jet fighter-like toggle switches for the automatic AC controls.
Safety:
In terms of safety, the 2023 Ignis is built on the HEARTECT platform and gets 2 airbags, ABS with EBD, Hill Hold Assist and more basic equipment.

Maruti Suzuki Ignis is powered by an updated 1.2-litre petrol engine. The unit delivers 82 bhp of power output with 113 Nm of torque. The car is offered with both a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox option. There is no CNG on offer.
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis measures 3,700 mm in length, 1,690 mm in width and 1,595 mm in height having a wheelbase of 2,435 mm. The car gets a small 32-litre fuel tank and 15-inch alloy wheels.
