Tata Motors has just taken the blinds off its all-new electric SUV concept named Curvv.
Tata Motors has finally showcased the upcoming CURVV Electric SUV Concept. The live video streamed, gives a glimpse into the design elements of the Electric SUV concept. The homegrown automaker already has two electric vehicles in its product portfolio, namely the Nexon EV and Tigor EV. Taking the streak ahead, the company is ready to reign the EV market space with another electric SUV.

The video hints at Tata Motor’s IMPACT 2.0 design language being in play for the new Electric SUV concept, with a futuristic front end design. The front fascia features LED DRL’s pitched on the hood lining that extend across till the end. While the sleek front grille embossed with the Tata logo upfront provides it a distinctive look. Other prominent elements include triangular shaped headlamp design, which seems to protrude outwards from the bumper along with a separate illuminated line running beneath the DRLs, adjoining the front grille.

Coming to the rear, it boasts of a coupe design with a large sloping rear windshield. Overall, the silhouette is full of cuts and creases, which may be different in the final production unit. This SUV can be based on the electric-only “Sigma” architecture platform based on the ALFA architecture, although there is no confirmation on this.
Further, a closer look during the unveil shows that the concept will bear the signature blue coloured EV badging, most likely on the front door, similar to Tata Nexon EV. Its alloy wheel design is likely to feature a gunmetal finish with an extended blade design curved slightly to the inside for a better aerodynamic drag coefficient. The interiors of SUV concept is given utmost attention to details and is expected to have all the latest features like a fully digital instrument cluster, advanced driver assistance systems and more.

It is believed that the upcoming concept will have a larger battery pack to deliver better range. According to media reports, the brand was also working on a long-range version of the Nexon EV, capable of doing 400 kilometres on a single charge. Although it seems that the Curvv electric SUV Concept is altogether a new product, which will most likely launch in the next 2 years, with ICE version to be introduced at a later stage. This in our view, could also be the Coupe version of Nexon, which will be introduced to fill the void between Tata Harrier and Nexon, measuring 4.3 meters in length.
