The Jetour T2 plug-in hybrid SUV is set to launch in India by Diwali 2026. Expect eco-friendly performance with a 1.5L turbo-petrol engine and 139km electric range. The Jetour T2 will come with premium features like a 15.6-inch screen.
JSW Motors, in partnership with Chery, is all set to debut in the Indian automotive market with its first-ever vehicle - the Jetour T2 Plug-in Hybrid SUV. The new SUV is expected to launch by Diwali 2026, and it promises to bring the latest in hybrid technology and a host of premium features for Indian car buyers.
The Jetour T2 is a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) SUV, and it will be JSW Motors’ first offering in India. The model will be assembled at JSW’s new manufacturing plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (formerly Aurangabad) in Maharashtra. Recently, JSW Motors teased the upcoming vehicle, giving car enthusiasts a first look at the SUV.
While the international version of the Jetour T2 is available in both PHEV and all-electric versions, the India-specific model will come only with the plug-in hybrid powertrain. This makes the SUV a strong contender in India, where the demand for fuel-efficient and eco-friendly vehicles is growing rapidly.

The Jetour T2 Plug-in Hybrid will come with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 26.7kWh battery pack. The engine generates 154hp and 220Nm of torque, while the electric motor offers a combined all-electric range of 139 km. The SUV will be available in single-motor front-wheel drive (FWD) and dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) layouts. Transmission options for the Jetour T2 include a smooth automatic gearbox.
The Jetour T2 will feature a bold and modern design, highlighted by sleek LED headlamps and pixel-shaped fog lamps. The India-spec model will feature a new JSW badge instead of the Jetour branding and will sport slightly smaller outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) compared to its global version.
Inside, the Jetour T2 will offer a spacious and high-tech cabin. The SUV will come with a large 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. The vehicle is expected to have premium features such as a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, 12-speaker Sony sound system, and powered and ventilated front seats. It will also come with automatic climate control and a 360-degree camera.
Safety features will include Level 2 ADAS, hill-start assist, and hill-descent assist, making the Jetour T2 one of the safest vehicles in its segment.
JSW Motors plans to launch the Jetour T2 Plug-in Hybrid SUV by Diwali 2026. The vehicle will be locally assembled at JSW’s manufacturing plant in Maharashtra. Although approvals for importing Chinese components are causing slight delays, the company is optimistic about launching the vehicle during the festive season.
As for the price, Sajjan Jindal, Chairman of JSW Group, revealed that the Jetour T2 will be priced between Rs 15 lakh to Rs 30 lakh. This places it in direct competition with popular SUVs such as the Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari, which are priced similarly in the market.
