The Korean brand, Kia has finally revealed the new Carens Clavis Recreational Vehicle (RV) in the Indian market. Official bookings for the new MPV has also been commenced. Interested buyers can book the new Kia Carens Clavis online or at authorised Kia dealership by paying a token amount of Rs 25,000.

In terms of features, the Kia Clavis gets dual 10.25-inch displays for infotainment and digital instrument console, automatic climate control, 4-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, 8-speaker Bose sound system, dash-cam with dual view, and others.
The Kia Clavis is equipped with LEVEL 2 ADAS tech with features like front collision avoidance assist, driver attention warning (New), adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane assist and others. For safety and security, the MPV gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, 360-degree surround view camera, TPMS and others.
The new model also gets second-row seats with sliding and reclining functions, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof, which we have already seen on the Syros. Adding to it, the MPV gets leatherette seats, two-spoke steering wheel (Syros-like), etc.

The new Kia Carens Clavis is available in three engine options - a 1.5-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel. The 1.5L NA petrol engine is capable of producing 114bhp and 144Nm of torque, and is paired to a six-speed manual gearbox.
The 1.5L turbo petrol engine churns out a maximum power output of 157bhp and 253NM of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed MT, a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT. The turbo diesel engine is good for 114bhp and 250Nm of torque. This engine is paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox.
