Maruti Suzuki India Ltd shares surged to new highs following the launch of its mid-size SUV, the Maruti Suzuki Victoris 2025. Investors are optimistic as the company strengthens its SUV portfolio and global presence, with the Victoris being the first strong hybrid model sold via Arena dealerships.

The launch of Victoris has had an immediate impact on Maruti Suzuki’s share price, which climbed close to its 52-week peak. Market analysts say the new SUV, with its hybrid and advanced safety features, signals Maruti’s focus on the fast-growing mid-size SUV segment and expansion into exports, making it an attractive proposition for investors.
Maruti Victoris 2025 is designed as a flagship SUV for the Arena channel. It complements the Nexa-sold Grand Vitara, giving Maruti Suzuki a dual presence in the mid-size SUV market. This segment, which includes competitors like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, has seen rapid growth, with SUVs now contributing almost 28% of Maruti’s total sales.
Maruti Victoris 2025 comes packed with advanced features:
- Connected technology with Alexa Auto integration and Gen-3 telematics
- “Theatre on wheels” infotainment experience
- Safety-first design with Level-2 ADAS, six airbags, and a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating
- Multiple powertrains: petrol, strong hybrid, and CNG
The hybrid version uses locally-made lithium-ion batteries from Gujarat, strengthening Maruti’s localisation efforts.
While Maruti has not yet revealed the exact pricing, the Maruti Victoris price is expected to be competitive in the mid-size SUV segment. With petrol, hybrid, and CNG options, Victoris targets both mass-market and aspirational buyers.
Maruti Suzuki plans to export Victoris to over 100 countries, reinforcing India’s role as Suzuki’s manufacturing hub. This follows the success of the e-Vitara, which is already being shipped to European markets.
