Skoda is set to make a strong push in India with a series of exciting launches. The automaker is gearing up for the 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift and the Slavia facelift, bringing refreshed designs, upgraded features, and improved technology. Alongside these ICE models, Skoda is focusing on its electric future. Back in April 2025, the automaker revealed plans to introduce its first EV for India, which could possibly be the Elroq EV, and the launch is now just around the corner.
Skoda is expected to launch its first electric car in India around September or October 2025. The model could be either the Skoda Enyaq or the smaller Skoda Elroq, both built on Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform. These upcoming EVs will feature large batteries, fast charging, and advanced connected features designed to appeal to Indian buyers.

At the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo, Skoda showcased models including the Kodiaq, Octavia RS, Elroq, and Vision 7S concept. The Vision 7S is likely to arrive in 2027 as the Skoda Space. Among all the models displayed, the Enyaq drew maximum attention, signalling Skoda’s strong EV ambitions for India.
Government EV policies are expected to play a key role in deciding whether the Elroq or the Enyaq will be the first Skoda EV launched in India.
Skoda Elroq EV is positioned as a compact electric SUV combining practicality, advanced technology, and an impressive range. It is expected to launch in India on October 15, 2025, making it one of the most anticipated upcoming electric cars this year.
Range - 560 km
Body Type - SUV
Seating Capacity - 5 seats
The Elroq features a sleek design with sharp LED headlights, a wide grille, a sculpted bonnet, and a sporty aerodynamic stance. The rear is adorned with slim LED taillights, giving it a modern and futuristic look.
Inside, the cabin offers a premium experience with a spacious layout, eco-friendly upholstery options, ventilated seats in higher trims, and a minimalistic dashboard.
Tech highlights include a high-resolution touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth, along with a digital instrument cluster displaying range, charging status, and driving data.
Beyond the Elroq, Skoda plans to bring the Enyaq, Enyaq Coupe, and Epiq, along with a future locally manufactured EV. These upcoming Skoda electric cars in India will strengthen the company’s portfolio and help it compete in the rapidly growing electric vehicle market.
