Maruti Victoris arriving on 3rd September 2025 Sits between Brezza and Grand Vitara in Maruti’s lineup Powertrain options include Petrol, Hybrid, and CNG variants available
Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch a brand-new midsize SUV, the Victoris, on 3rd September 2025. The SUV’s name recently appeared online due to a leak from Maruti’s own website, confirming the brand’s latest addition to its growing SUV lineup.

The Victoris will be positioned between the popular Brezza and Grand Vitara, targeting buyers looking for a midsize SUV. It uses Suzuki’s Global-C platform, which is also the backbone of the Grand Vitara. Some design elements are inspired by both the Grand Vitara and the Toyota Hyryder, giving Victoris a modern and stylish look.
In terms of size, the SUV is expected to be slightly longer than the Grand Vitara, providing extra boot space, a key factor for families. Its dimensions put it in direct competition with rivals like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, making it a strong contender in the compact SUV segment.
Maruti Victoris will cater to a wide range of buyers with three powertrain options:
- 1.5-litre petrol engine with 103 PS and 139 Nm, available with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic, including optional AllGrip AWD.
- 1.5-litre strong hybrid engine producing 115.5 PS paired with an e-CVT transmission.
- CNG variant delivering 88 PS for more economical urban driving.
This mix of petrol, hybrid, and CNG options aims to give customers flexibility and efficiency in different driving conditions.
Unlike the Grand Vitara, which is sold through Nexa outlets, Victoris will be available across over 3,000 Arena dealerships in India. This wider network could make the SUV accessible to buyers in smaller cities and towns, increasing its sales potential.
A Toyota-badged sibling is also expected, which could expand the SUV’s appeal further. Maruti may even explore select overseas markets for Victoris.
The compact SUV segment in India is highly competitive. The Hyundai Creta continues to dominate, holding more than 37% market share and remaining the country’s top-selling car from January to July 2025.
With its range of engines, larger size, modern features, and extensive dealership reach, Victoris could emerge as a strong rival in the segment. The official launch and full details will be revealed on 3rd September 2025, giving car buyers a lot to look forward to.
