New Honda ZR-V hybrid arriving in 2026 as CBU To get 2.0L strong hybrid engine It delivers 22.2kmpl
Honda Cars India is planning to import some of its global cars as brand builders in the country. If reports are to be believed, the Japanese brand will introduce the Prelude, ZR-V and 0 Series as CBUs. The new Honda ZR-V will be a pure hybrid SUV, and is rumoured to be launched before the end of this year.
The new Honda ZR-V hybrid has already been shown to dealers during an investor summit. It measures 4,568mm in length, 1,840mm in width and 1,620mm in height. It sits on a 2,655mm long wheelbase. The SUV carries the brand’s familiar design language, featuring an oval front grille with vertical slats, LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, a slopping bonnet, 19-inch alloys, LED tail-lamps, and rectangular exhaust vents.
Inside the cabin, the Honda ZR-V gets a 10.2-inch driver’s display, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, and dual-zone climate control. In terms of features, the SUV gets wireless charging system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, powered front seats, leatherette upholstery, ventilated front seats, a Bose sound system and others.
The ZR-V is available with a petrol hybrid engine in Japan and ASEAN markets, and India is also likely to get the same powertrain. The setup includes a 2.0L petrol engine and two electric motors, and a small battery pack. The combined power and torque output stands at 184bhp and 315Nm of torque.
The hybrid SUV accelerates to 100kmph from zero in just 7.8 seconds. It is claimed to offer fuel efficiency of around 22.2kmpl (4.5-litres per 100 kilometres on the combined WLTC cycle).
