Renault is preparing to enter the lifestyle off-road SUV segment with the upcoming Renault Bridger SUV. The company will unveil the concept version on March 10, 2026, giving us a first look at a rugged compact SUV aimed at adventure lovers.
The Renault Bridger is already being called a “mini Duster” because of its tough styling and SUV stance. Once launched, the New Renault Bridger will compete with lifestyle SUVs like the Maruti Suzuki Jimny and the Mahindra Thar.
Renault will first show the Renault Bridger SUV as a concept model on March 10, 2026. The SUV has been designed and developed in India, which shows the brand’s focus on the Indian market.
While the concept will reveal the design direction, the production version of the New Renault Bridger is expected to arrive in India around late 2027 or early 2028.

In India, the Renault Bridger will sit between the Renault Kiger and the upcoming new-generation Renault Duster.
This will help Renault expand its SUV lineup and attract those who want a small but rugged SUV with a lifestyle image.
Teasers suggest the Renault Bridger SUV will have a bold and upright design. It is expected to feature a boxy shape, high ground clearance, and a strong road presence.
One highlight will likely be the tailgate-mounted spare wheel, which adds to the SUV’s off-road character. The design is also said to take inspiration from well-known off-roaders like the Land Rover Defender.
The New Renault Bridger is expected to use the same 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine seen in the Kiger. This engine produces around 100hp and 160Nm of torque.
It will likely be offered with a five-speed manual gearbox and a CVT automatic. Most versions could be front-wheel drive, but Renault may consider a four-wheel-drive option later to make it a stronger rival to its competitors.
Inside, the Renault Bridger SUV is expected to offer modern features like a digital instrument cluster and a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity.
Higher variants may also get connected car technology and advanced safety features such as ADAS.
The Renault Bridger concept will be unveiled on March 10, 2026. The production version of the New Renault Bridger is expected to reach Indian showrooms around 2027 or early 2028.
