The all-new Tata Sierra ICE was recently showcased in its close-to-production version at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show. The carmaker didn’t display the Sierra EV this time around, but we saw its near-production version at last year’s Auto Expo. Interestingly, both showcased models remained true to their concept. However, here will discuss design differences between the Tata Sierra EV and Sierra ICE versions.
The major difference will be noticed when you look at the front facia of both models. The Tata Sierra EV has a blacked-out bumper, a closed-off grille and differently designed headlamps. The SUV’s ICE version has a massive black grille with an expanded ‘Sierra’ emblem, small fog lamp assembly and a black radiator grille. What’s common between both versions are the connected LED DRLs integrated into a blacked housing and the silver skid plate.
Moving to the side profile, both the Tata Sierra ICE and EV have large alpine windows and flush door handles. It’s the differently designed alloy wheels that distinguish both models. The rear section has been adorned with the connected LED taillamps, silver skid plate and blacked-out rear bumper. In fact, the tailgate design of both EV and ICE versions is similar. However, the LED elements of the taillamps are slightly different.
The Sierra ICE showcased at this year’s Auto Expo, has a triple-screen setup. Its electric iteration is expected to come with a dual-screen setup. The interior layout and features are likely to be the same in both versions. The equipment kit of the SUV is expected to have a four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated ‘Tata’ logo, ambient lighting, ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, rear AC events, an ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite and more.
Tata hasn’t yet revealed the specifications of the Sierra EV and ICE models. However, the SUV’s petrol and diesel versions are expected to be offered with 1.5L turbo and 2.0L engines. The Tata Sierra EV is likely to feature a larger capacity battery pack (60kWh – 80kWh) and deliver a range of over 500km on a single charge. The Tata Sierra ICE could be offered with the AWD (all-wheel drive) drivetrain system.
