First Launched in 2021, the Skoda Kushaq has been one of the best-selling models for the Czech automaker in India. The SUV is now due for a mid-life updated, and the facelifted model has already been spotted on the roads. The spy images reveal that the 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift will receive cosmetic design changes and major tech upgrades, while the mechanics will remain the same.
Skoda is currently testing the Kushaq facelift and high chances that its launch could take place in the fag end of 2025 or in the first quarter of 2026. Not just Kushaq, the Skoda Slavia sedan will also receive a mid-life upgrade. Kushaq’s German cousin, the VW Taigun will also receive a mid-life update sometime in 2026.
The 2026 Skoda Kushaq will continue to rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and the upcoming Maruti Escudo and the Renault Duster.

The Kushaq facelift won’t receive changes to body panels, and the changes will be cosmetic in nature. It is likely to get a revised front grille and headlamp set-up. The spy images reveal that the 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift will get a slightly slimmer front grille with slats, redesigned headlamps with a connected daytime running lights, and a new fog lamp housing.
At the back, the 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift is likely to get revised tail-lamp set-up. It is expected to get connected tail-lamps, which seems inspired by the new Kodiaq. Other changes could include new bumpers, and newly designed alloy wheels.
The cabin images are yet to hit the Internet, but it is expected to receive new upholstery for seats and new trims. The SUV could also receive an upgraded version of the touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
The big tech upgrade will come in the form of LEVEL-2 ADAS. The ADAS tech will offer features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, forward collision warning and others.
In terms of features, the Kushaq facelift will continue to be offered with a fully digital color instrument cluster, a two-spoke steering wheel, an auto-dimming IRVM, and ventilated seats.
It is yet to be confirmed whether Skoda will add panoramic sunroof to Kushaq facelift. We believe that Kushaq’s top-end variant could get panoramic sunroof while the single-pane sunroof could trickle down to mid-level variants.
The Skoda Kushaq facelift will continue to be offered with the existing 1.0-litre TSI petrol and a 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines. While the former is good for 115hp and 178Nm of torque, the bigger unit produces 150hp and 250Nm of torque. The 1.0L engine will be paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, while the 1.5L turbo unit will get a 7-speed DCT automatic unit. Skoda could offer a manual gearbox with the bigger 1.5L turbo petrol engine as well.
