2026 Skoda Slavia Facelift Gets 5 Major Changes – Details

New Slavia gets revised styling, new alloys and an updated cabin. The 1.0 TSI is expected to get a new eight-speed automatic. Expected prices range from Rs 11.50 lakh to Rs 19 lakh.

Skoda Auto India is set to launch the 2026 Slavia facelift on August 18, bringing a series of updates to its popular midsize sedan. The facelift retains the familiar overall shape and engine lineup but gets changes to the exterior, cabin, equipment and automatic transmission.

The updated Slavia is expected to be priced between Rs 11.50 lakh and Rs 19 lakh (ex-showroom), making it slightly more expensive than the outgoing model. Here are the five major changes expected on the new sedan.

1. Revised Exterior Design

The front-end styling gets the most noticeable changes. The Slavia facelift features a revised grille with more prominent chrome detailing, while the headlamps are expected to get updated internal elements and LED signatures.

The bumpers have also been redesigned and feature revised fog-lamp housings. The chrome treatment around the window line is expected to continue. At the rear, the tail-lamps appear to retain a similar layout to the current sedan. The roofline and pillars are also expected to remain unchanged.

2. New Alloy Wheels

The updated Slavia will get a new five-spoke alloy wheel design, giving the sedan a sportier appearance. Despite the new design, the wheels are expected to retain the existing 16-inch size. This means the side profile will remain largely familiar while the new alloys provide a subtle visual update.

3. More Technology Inside

The cabin layout will largely carry over, but Skoda is expected to add new equipment and updated trim materials. One of the biggest changes is the addition of a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, complementing the existing 10.25-inch infotainment screen. Other expected features include wireless smartphone charging, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, an eight-speaker audio system, a single-pane sunroof, TPMS and front parking sensors. A rear-seat massage function has also been reported, although Skoda is yet to officially confirm its availability.

4. New 8-Speed Automatic

The biggest mechanical update will be the introduction of a new eight-speed automatic gearbox with the 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit is expected to continue producing around 116PS and 178Nm. It will also remain available with a six-speed manual gearbox. The larger 1.5-litre TSI engine will continue producing 150PS and 250Nm and is expected to be paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic.

5. Higher Expected Price

The fifth major change is expected to be reflected in the price tag. The 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift is expected to cost Rs 11.50 lakh to Rs 19 lakh (ex-showroom). The outgoing model is currently priced from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 18.19 lakh. The expected increase could be linked to the updated styling, additional features and new eight-speed automatic gearbox. The official variant-wise prices will be announced at the launch.

Same Rivals, Updated Package

The facelifted Slavia will continue to compete with the Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus and Honda City. Rather than being a complete redesign, the 2026 update focuses on giving the Slavia a fresher exterior, more technology inside and a new automatic transmission while retaining its existing engine options.
