Mercedes-Maybach S-Class facelift launches on October 5 Honda Elevate and Skoda Slavia facelifts arrive on October 6 New features and powertrain updates headline the upcoming launches
October 2026 is set to begin on a busy note for the Indian car market, with three new cars expected to launch within the first 10 days of the month. The upcoming models include a luxury sedan, a midsize SUV and a premium sedan.
Mercedes-Benz, Honda and Skoda are preparing updates to their respective models, with the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class facelift scheduled for October 5, followed by the Honda Elevate facelift and Skoda Slavia facelift on October 6.
Here is what to expect from these three upcoming cars.
1. Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Facelift
Mercedes-Benz will kick off the October launch calendar with the facelifted Maybach S-Class on October 5. The updated luxury sedan gets a revised front-end with a larger illuminated grille, redesigned headlamps and new star-shaped daytime running lights. The overall design remains familiar but gets a few updates to give the car a fresher look.
The cabin is expected to continue with a premium layout featuring a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 14.4-inch central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch display for the front passenger. The overseas S580 version uses a 4.0-litre V8 engine that produces around 537hp and 750Nm. Mercedes-Benz is expected to reveal the India-specific specifications closer to the launch.

2. Honda Elevate Facelift
The Honda Elevate facelift is expected to launch in India on October 6. The updated SUV will get exterior styling changes along with new features and cabin upgrades. The facelift is expected to feature a revised grille, updated LED lighting elements, new front and rear bumpers and fresh alloy wheels. The interior could also receive new upholstery and additional features.
Honda is expected to add ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen. These additions will give the Elevate more equipment in the midsize SUV segment. The existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine is expected to continue. It produces around 119hp and 145Nm and is paired with a 6-speed manual or CVT automatic gearbox.
3. Skoda Slavia Facelift
The Skoda Slavia facelift is also expected to launch on October 6. The updated sedan was unveiled on August 18 and gets changes to its styling, features and powertrain. One of the biggest updates is the 1.0-litre TSI's new 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox, replacing the earlier 6-speed unit. The 1.5-litre TSI continues with the 7-speed DSG.
The engine outputs are expected to remain unchanged, with the 1.0-litre producing 115hp and the 1.5-litre delivering 150hp. The updated Slavia also gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen and a 360-degree camera. Another key addition is the rear-seat massage function, which is a segment-first feature.
