New Skoda Superb – 2.0 Diesel, Luxury Features and India Launch Details

New Skoda Superb is expected to launch in India in 2027. It will get a 2.0-litre diesel engine with a 7-speed DSG. Key features include 10 airbags, Level 2 ADAS and massage seats.

Skoda has showcased the fourth-generation Superb in India. The new sedan is expected to go on sale in India sometime in 2027. It will come in a single top-spec Laurin & Klement variant and will be imported as a CBU. The new Superb gets a fresh design, a new cabin and several premium features. It will also be offered with a 2.0-litre diesel engine paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.

New Skoda Superb Design

The new Superb gets an updated design but continues with Skoda’s simple and clean styling. At the front, it gets a chrome grille with slim LED headlamps. The sedan also gets new 18-inch alloy wheels, while the rear features wraparound LED tail-lamps. The overall shape remains long and sleek, which helps the Superb maintain its large sedan look.

New Cabin Gets More Features

The cabin has been redesigned with a new dashboard layout. It gets a large 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10-inch digital driver’s display. The India-spec model will get a black and cognac interior theme. It will also feature a two-spoke steering wheel.

Other features include three-zone automatic climate control, wireless charging and a powered tailgate. The front seats get ventilation and a massage function. The Superb will also get a Sleep Package for the rear passengers.

10 Airbags and ADAS

The new Superb will come with several safety features. These include 10 airbags, a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS. It will also get an automatic parking assistant. Progressive Dynamic Steering and Dynamic Chassis Control will be offered as well.

2.0-Litre Diesel Engine

The India-spec Superb will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 148bhp and 360Nm. The engine will be paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. Skoda will offer this engine in the top-spec Laurin & Klement variant. The global Superb is available with different petrol, diesel and hybrid powertrains. However, the India-spec model will get the diesel engine.

New Skoda Superb India Launch

The new Skoda Superb is expected to launch in India in 2027. Skoda has not announced the exact launch date or price yet. Since the sedan will be imported as a CBU, its price is expected to be higher than Skoda’s locally made models. The single fully loaded variant will also help keep the lineup simple.
