The Czech automaker recently showcased the fourth-generation Skoda Superb 4X4 at this year’s Bharat Mobility Show. What makes this special is its 2.0L TDI turbo diesel engine, which will make its way to India during 2025 festive season. This motor produces a maximum power of 193bhp and 400Nm of torque. The new Superb will mark debut of Skoda’s diesel engine in the country. For those unaware, the Volkswagen Group discontinued diesel engines in the country in 2019.
In global markets, the new Skoda Superb is offered with multiple powertrain options including a 1.5L turbo petrol mild hybrid, 1.5L turbo petrol plug-in hybrid, 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.0L diesel. In India, the sedan will initially be introduced with the 2.0L TDI diesel engine, which is likely to be followed by the 2.0L turbo petrol version.

The new Superb has dual-tone cabin theme with sliver accents around the physical dials. Some of its key features include a large 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display, a premium sound system, ambient lighting, wireless phone charger, a panoramic sunroof, 10 airbags, ADAS (advanced driver assistance system), park assist, Isofix child seat anchorages and more.
The new Skoda Superb is likely to make its way to India as a CBU (completely built unit). Prices of the sedan are expected to start around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Czech automaker might also introduce the new Kodiaq SUV with the diesel engine at a later stage. However, there is no official word on their arrival timeline. The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq will initially come with the 2.0L turbo petrol engine, pushing out power worth 204PS/265PS. The SUV will have a 7-speed DCT gearbox for performing transmission duties.
Minimal changes have been made to its exterior, while the interior has witnessed major upgrades including a layered dashboard design, a larger 13-inch free standing touchscreen infotainment unit and more.
