BMW i5 Long Wheelbase bookings open 669km Range, 0-100kmph in 6.7 seconds First Edition Announced for first 99 customers
BMW India has started accepting pre-orders for the BMW i5 Long Wheelbase, which will be locally produced. It will be the second electric BMW model to roll out of BMW Group Plant Chennai. It will also be the first locally produced electric sedan from BMW India. The electric sedan can be booked across authorised BMW dealer network or BMW India’s official website.
The BMW i5 Long Wheelbase offers a combination of space, rear-seat comfort, technology and a refined electric powertrain. In terms of proportion, the new i5 Long Wheelbase is 5,175mm long, 2156mm wide and 1520mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3105mm. It is claimed to offer the most spacious cabin in the segment.
The new BMW i5 LWB is packed with a 81.6 kWh high-voltage battery pack. Its electric motor delivers 268hp of power. The sedan is claimed to offer a driving range of up to 669 km on a single charge. The sedan accelerates to 100kmph from standstill in just 6.7 seconds. The sedan features an adaptive rear-axle air suspension and enhanced ground clearance.
BMW i5 LWB First Edition
Marking the arrival of the first-ever BMW i5 LWB, BMW India launches an exclusive First Edition, limited to only 99 customers, celebrating a significant milestone in the brand’s electrification journey in India. The BMW i5 LWB First Edition comes with a dedicated rear seat entertainment package featuring a tablet and tablet holder. The cabin also gets exclusive BMW Individual Silver Bronze accent combined with Fineline open-pored fine-wood trim and Silver Bronze inlay. It also has ‘FIRST EDITION’ laser engraving on the dashboard adds to its exclusivity. The First Edition is offered in a unique Carbon Black Metallic exterior paint finish with striking Titanium Bronze exterior accents.
